Hypothetical question: would you get banned if you knew how to dupe exalted orbs

Didn't some guy do this with mirrors and eternal orbs on a league a while back? I'm pretty sure I remember a post o reddit about it. Something to do with guild stash bug? Basically he had 3 perfectly rolled crit daggers like 1 week into a league. I think he got banned for rmt though cause he was just duping currency and rmting it all..

No unless you are referring to a different incident that I never heard of you have some important facts wrong. It did have something to do with the guild stash bug. They weren't duping currency they were just using the same currency over and over by crashing the servers. That is pretty noticeable to GGG and I'm pretty certain unless the person is doing it very rarely (like less then once a week) GGG would notice the spike in server crashes.

You don't remember the rampage league massive currency duping?

No I never saw that one thanks for the info. I was thinking of a different one where they crashed the servers for a bit of a mini roll back, but I didn't know about this one.

How is making infinite copies of exalts, eternals and mirrors anything but duping?

Yeah my bad, was thinking of the server rollback event not the guild stash thing.

Edited my post.

I'm pretty sure that post linked is a bullshit story but if it's not I feel sad for ivqan.

No judgements on that from me, but a curious tale is told by the OP here:

I'm not sure all the various stories reconcile.

Also, any contracts over one year cannot be online. You need explicit approval. It's been more than a year. That's a loophole I found myself.

From the TOU: By making use of any of the Website, Materials and Services, you are deemed to have read and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

Whether the one year rule is valid or not (since I feel this is a low energy thread, I am putting the same amount of energy into researching counterpoints) every time you use the game or the website, you are resigning the 'contract'.

The scenario described (using an exploit unless caught or incentive to report) falls under the second purple box below which describes Kolberg's theory of moral development:

All I did was ask an honest question. And to be honest, a very intelligent hypothetical question. I think a lot of people are intimidated so they are like, omg he is a troll.

But take a step back, and read my OP again. If they ban anyone that comes forward to help as many of you claim, then that does not help improve the game or community in any way.

When someone from the mob comes to the FBI and is like "Hey I committed a bunch of crimes and if you grant me immunity then I can help you catch someone else.", what does the FBI do? I think GGG should follow in the FBI's steps.

Is that such a troll opinion? I think its pretty intelligent, and why I would make a good attorney who specializes in video game contracts. In fact all types of games, board game contracts too.
