Hypothetical question: would you get banned if you knew how to dupe exalted orbs
" Ha, baiting the hook again :) I would say something like, "No ones going to fall for that one, buddy!", but this thread is already 7 pages. I guarantee Charan won't be able to help himself. == Officially Retired 27/02/2019 == Massive thanks to GGG for producing such a fun and engaging game, it has taken up faaaaaaar too much of my life over the last 5 years. Best of luck in the future! Last edited by CaptainWaffleIron#2395 on Feb 22, 2016, 9:48:11 PM

" What **IF** GGG did so? How would that look? Substituting the imperial "you" as a random person who participated in, profited from and the reported duping to GGG, let's see how that might look if GGG acted as you suggest: .................... If they did, you
Spoiler
(see above - not directed at OP or anyone in particular)
If the GGG police felt you were a higher value target than any information you might be able to give, then you would suddenly see green and purple flashing lights outside as you were surrounded by the GGG's Anti Cheating Elites. A.C.E.s would send up peacock drones to hover above your domicile and report back. An armored Rhoa's charge would take down your front door and then fierce A.C.E. police dogs with energy shields would be set free so they could race in and subdue the villain. So neck chomp, much blood loss. Such Ow. The Ground Swat team would begin pounding the area around your house, and eventually their 21/20 Earthquake would reduce your home to rubble. If the police dogs deemed you tasty enough to haul back, then Merveil's Prosecutorial Grasp would be used to freeze you into a corpsicle. Eventually a swarm of mirror fish would tow your bobbing frozen body across the sea to Cheater's Gulag. You would be placed on Duper's Row - in a cold dark cell that had only two features: a tiny hole in the sloped floor, and a huge loud speaker somewhere high above from which all the missing Scion Dialogue would boom out every 2 minutes. If you wanted to receive your daily meal of half regurgitated Rhoa droppings, you would be forced to stand perfectly still above the drain hole waiting for the bright light to shine down and reveal your task. With the beam of light, a pair of shoes would be lowered and you would spend the next hour buffing and shining the shoes of "He whose name is no longer to be typed in English characters". When the hour was up, the bright light would dim, and the boots would be raised up. If your boot shining was found acceptable, than your daily meal would come raining down on your head and if you were fast, you could lick most of it up before it went down the drain hole. " The question itself looked quite dishonnest to me. It is along the lines of "What if I accidentally did this action on purpose?". " The question of the moral line on what you are supposed to do and not to do when you find an exploit is interesting. Attempting all that is possible to twist that line in order to be able to do whatever you want isn't. " GGG punishes people trying to profit from the exploits, not people trying to genuinely help them. " It's a matter of intent. Don't expect the FBI to let the guy go if he did his crimes with the intent of negociating later on. " I don't think you'd make such a good attorney. Law attaches a lot of importance to trueness, but I don't find it in your posts. Finally, for your information, people that tell they are honnest a lot tend to actually be the most dishonnest. Have you considered politics? |

" It is a leading question. There is something wrong with your premise. The better question to ask is "Why would they report it to GGG and destroying their money tree, risking punishment?" Surely if you robbing the bank, what would go on in your mind would be "How can I avoid getting caught?" rather than "Would I get lighter sentence if I confess my crimes?" " Wow dude, this freaking community. You cant even want to do the right thing, or you get scathing backlash. You know what man, I dont care what you think. I am going to study hard, get into Harvard and become a famous gaming attorney. Then I'll only represent the little guy. You know the guy who cant spend millions on his defense. I will defend him pro bono (that's law speak for free). Big gaming companies like EA, Blizzard and SquareEnix will fear me, and they will start treating the little guy right. Anytime they think about revoking a membership or subscription, they will think twice. |
