Hypothetical question: would you get banned if you knew how to dupe exalted orbs

Hey all,

Just a hypothetical question which randomly popped in my head today. I was wondering if GGG would ban you if you knew of a way to dupe currency and accidentally used it more than a few times, like a whole league or something. Then you wanted to come clean.

Do you think they would look at it as "Wow, this guy is brave and is coming forward to help fix a bug." or do you think they would ban the guy who reported it also, because he accidentally used it?

Any official word on this would be helpful also. Anything like a witness protection program or anything?

Again, just a hypothetical question. I saw a bunch of people get banned recently, and that why this question popped into my mind. Thanks.

Anyways, no, yes, maybe, it depends, I guess.

The chances of one finding a dupe is slim to none.

But I assume if one did find it, the punishments would go as such.

No abuse at all, first time accident, and you immediately report it to GGG, you'd probably get rewarded some points in the shop.

Semi abuse, happened once, you tried to do it again and you did it a few more times to see how it works, and then you report it to GGG, you'd probably get the duped currency removed and no reward.

Total abuse throughout the months, unnoticeable if you dupe in small amounts, and then you report it because for some reason you no longer want to play, permanently banned.

But let's be honest, if anyone has the mere idea of even slightly abusing a glitch especially a dupe in this case, he's not going to care about the consequences as he's going to be RMTing as much as he can.

That's just the cold bitter truth, I for one would prefer a few bucks in MTX for free and some recognition rather than ruin a game I love and probably be banned from it, not to mention it wouldn't take that long for GGG to notice a dupe is happening.

You would get banned.

I dupe exalts all the time from other players using other items and shit. Easy.

flippers/scammers do it all the time , dupe noobs of their exalts

I'm not sure you know the meaning of the word 'accidental'.

That's what I was going to say, but rereading it, maybe he meant a few times over the course of a league.

No need to dupe when the recipe is so easy.
