Ascendacy Classes looks like a step backwards

2. Picture is not clear (for you) - if you missed (and from what I can tell, you did) pictures of Ascendancy classes, third Ascendancy for Marauder is something along the lines of a Shaman (inb4 its the exact name).
Marauder is close to Ancestral Bond Keystone, and has A LOT of connections to Totems (hello Kaom's Dream). If you connect the dots (not so hard) you'll know that this Ascendancy WILL have Totem bonuses. So no, you don't know shit, Sir. :P Do you homework before trying to prove anything. Thanks!

The Ascendancy Classes are mostly related to the Skill Gems and whats in that Character's Area also.

1) Shadow can still be a summoner (granted you must buy all minion gems from other characters) You can even play him most similarly to the D2 Necro as he can buy Temporal Chains (Decrepify) and Detonate Dead (Corpse Explosion)

Also.. You forgot about Templar Guardian Ascendancy being able to spec out as Aura Heavy Summoner. :P

2) The Marauder's Third Ascendancy from the theory hints that it will probably be a Spellcaster focused on Totems and Fire Damage.


3) Wild Strike Elementalist Witch, Dual Wander Gladiator Duelist, Rolling Flames + Fireball Deadeye Ranger, Lightning Warp Totem Trickster,Offering Buffed Melee Necromancer Witch.

LoL people trying so hard to justify PoE going even more diablo style class system. (just like a few yrs ago people tried so hard justifying PoE and their lack of class system making them better than diablo tho on completely opposite ground)

The whole ascendancy seems awfully similar to the original diablo where warriors can shoot fireballs, sorcs can use melee moves and ect... Classes definitely matters it would be stupid and ignorant to say otherwise.

If anything ascendancy makes PoE more diablo 1 than diablo 2 or 3... either way, Diablolisation still holds true.

Also people here so hype about the whole "blue hp"... Diablo 1 had it over a decade ago already called mana shield... and it's OP as fuck making sorcs nearly unkillable.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

I've never made a Ranger before (or a Witch,) and Ascendancy makes me actually want to make one. That's diversity, right?

I don't view them as diversity, I view them as a push for class specific play that will lead some people away from the comfort zone and push people into classes they don't normally play.

But if people weren't sampling all of the Classes in a game about rerolling and constantly making new builds/chars, this push is good. You've got to get those Dominus/Malachai kill Achievements somehow, right?

Same here, most of my characters are shadow. Only 1 Marauder and having no Ranger and no Duelist. But now, sound like making a deadeye spark caster is a great idea. Free chain free pierce, and you know what, there is 30% increased projectile speed in free chain path.

Isn't it called "diversity"? Lack of creativity is the only thing that kills diversity.
