It never seizes to amaze how people voluntarily revel in their unhappiness only to create a sustenance to complain.
Some people i suppose, truly have nothing better to do with the limited amount of time they posses.

I just played feverishly nonstop for 5 months and burned myself out because I have no life. Game is dead.

Ofc its not the end. You will have the die hard fanboys here until the day the servers closes.

BUT this wont be any kind of upswing for the game either. Who(except those previous fanboys) can even be bothered with another 1 month filler league, filled with bugs and instabilities.

Playerbase will jump the first week and the plummet down and beyond what is now.

Yeah, the irony lel...

Literaly game isn't dead. Enough money to make the whole team working on next big update as Chris mentioned, enough player to claim in last Q&A the game hasn't been more popular than now soo literaly not dead.

" Game is dead " can differ from one player to another depending the approach he is having / he had with it.

I don't consider PoE as dead since i still enjoy to play it and discover new content but yeah the " before awakening " and how i was feeling my playtime a year ago is totaly dead in my case.

And what ?

This is still a game at all, it's a hobby not a work or a priority to focus in life soo i just play less will play again next 3 months league or might stop who know ? Even if it happen ? someone will join the game and replace me and TEH INFERNAL WHEEL will keep turning. Soo as long GGG is able to replace players who leave wich is the case now, the game isn't dead :)

Where is the big deal ?

Just enjoy things while they are here.
If they are not anymore in your opinion nothing is stopping you to enjoy something else ( have to admit if you are stuck to ARPG genre only you don't have much more options than PoE but still ... ).
