Is this the end of POE?

While it's silly to suggest PoE is dead I wouldn't be surprised with how fast tech and games are moving if PoE will peak in playerbase or revenue in 2016 or maybe even already has in '15.

Just discovered the Van Helsing games (playing final cut version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoUedBPQUBU ). While its not as multiplayer oriented as PoE, I'm having a blast, swaping concurrently between 3 classes as I go xD So beautiful and runs smoothly, some places have a distant field of view where you see all the path up to 10 screens away, crowded and all.. another reminder of the wacky PoE engine (won't ever run smoothly here) and how dated its getting. Heck there are people who will dig PoE forever, but then there are the other 95%. I'm also eager to see how Lost Ark Online and Lineage Eternal will turn out, too bad these games are from korean developers and one can't take part in the development due to the language barrier (and maybe not even then... remind D3 devs who never listened somebody elses opinion ^^). I hope GGG either ports PoE to a new engine/design or start working in a new title soon, otherwise they're kinda living on borrowed time, having to rely on a diminishing die hard fan base. " poe always has been a niche game for a small subset of gamers. gamers who put more weight into interesting mechanics than good looking graphics. they were among the first to try out "support only if you like the game". and succeeded. the ony mistake they ever made was to copy the "sales" mechanic from cheap pay2win games where spending money on ingame advantages could net you even more advantages if they were on "sale". which totally makes no sense on a game where mtx are only signs of support because there are no ingame advantages (other than stash tabs). age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! .......and just like a revenant: IT'S BACK.
Actually, I just want Charan to look at this post again. Gotcha! Charan, if you reply to this, I will request to close this thread for good. I just wanted one last good trolling, not that the whole thread was for trolling, but mostly it was. On second thought, the game is probably dead. Well, actually the Steam charts look like a damn ECG. Each expansion is another shock with the paddles. In conclusion, I was wrong. Edit: Dear GGG forum moderators, after Charan responds please allow this thread to marinate for a couple hours, then close this thread. Thanks. Remember, I am a Grandmaster supporter and can act like a child if I want, it's in the fine print;) Thanks. Last edited by robertredberry#4286 on Feb 10, 2016, 4:12:02 AM
