Is this the end of POE?

I don't understand how it even remotely seems as if this game is coming to an end. Just because there may be a few hiccups here and there, that doesn't mean it won't get adjusted and/or fixed. This game is still going strong and as with all games, not everyone can be satisfied and adjustments are going to be needed.
A project like Path of Exile is always going to be in development. The way some of you folks are speaking makes it seem as if this title has been out for over a decade. It's ok to accept that you have hit your personal finish line, OP. Don't be sad about it. A game like PoE is bound to end for every individual player eventually. There's always going to be people coming and going. |

OP is literately lacking thinking power. Move on people. I've been here since CB, and these 'game is dead' posts are a dime a dozen in between leagues, or when rebalance is done.

Well... I don't think so, in my own meandering way I'm just getting into it - so I certainly don't feel that way. I guess I also feel that it's the best at what it is and has at the very least a dedicated niche market to support it. Whether or not that niche can cover the base expense of support - well that's the true test of vitality.
What makes someone say this? Is it because it's dead to you, or dead to your friends that you used to play with? Seems like an emotional statement more than anything. My anecdotes don't beat your anectdotes though, so I'll leave it to someone with facts to prove one way or another! |

Lol stuff changes, yea pure caster right now has been taken down a peg but you playing as pure caster is kind of boring anyway. You should try a new build, a guild member did the vaal spark build which is pure caster and that looked like a ton of fun.
As for trade.. Trade is fine, I dont know why people complain. It takes 1 night to learn and set up a shop with procurement/ AQU and from there its easy pz. If they "fixed" trade assuming you want an AH style trade, all items would literally be worthless and there would be no reason to trade anything. The only problem is the increased drop rate and items are not worth 1/4 what they used to be. I personally liked it when t1 uniques were rare and hard to obtain. |

" theres a very good cake analogy Ive once read on another poe forum there are 10 cakes in the bakery, each one of them better than the other, all looking delicious. you can only try the other one after trying the previous one. you can 1. eat one by one, enjoy each one thoroughly and then finally after a long period of time enjoy the last one. or you can 2. run in the bakery just as it opens, get your face into each cake as quickly as you can so you can get to the last one, devour the last one in couple of minutes and then be bored and complain that there arent any more cakes the choice is yours of course, but since obviously bakery cannot bake infinite amount of cakes, for #2 the content will not ever be enough. |

I wish gems worked in forums... Please let us detonate and remove corpses on all game is dead posts.
If we Vaal detonate game is dead posts it could seek out all similar threads and boom! Required souls could be given by VPs when constructive posts are given. Sounds almost as fun as that duke nukem admin program that let's you shoot process ID's on Linux to kill them. Note: having all developers working on future content doesn't sound like a good thing with the amount of bugs flying around. Not my decision to make though. Not only do you need to use a third party app in order to make trading reasonably efficient, but you need to give that app at least some level of access to your login information in order to use it. It's absolutely terrible from a security standpoint. I know the apps in question have been used by a lot of people and have a good reputation(so far), but it's still an extremely bad idea. |
