Like I said, a new league isn't going to fix the problems. New content isn't what they need right now, they need to fix the current game.

Totally agree. With PoE stagnant going after problems that would have much longer and larger impact to the quality of the game than a simple content addition that people won't care a bout after two weeks is the way to go.

Really surprised to see so many disagree.

Some things to note on these remarks.

We are currently seeing quite some instability because of the 1-month additions to the league. Not saying there is no instability when these are removed though, but that the current event does simulate a "worst case scenario"

Improvements are done independent of content additions. The model requires it.

Depending on what you mean with "fix the current game", if your implying balance, this cannot be attained successfully until the game is finished in it's entirety. A point very little people seem to grasp. How do you balance content properly that is not implemented yet or account for that content in the future without fucking up all prior balance efforts.

As to stability, like i said, this is done constantly it would be foolish to assume GGG doesn't have people working on this at all times.

I'll eat my last paragraph :)

Peace,

You put words in my mouth then attack me for it lol.

That's how you win an argument people. xD

PS: It's not as independent as you make it out to be if a lot of the fixes they are unwilling to do mid league. Which is fine, that's why I suggest that it should be one or the other. As far as balance is concerned it's not so much the final numbers relative to current or future content but rather their general principals and ideals that need to shift which would help guide their balance aim generally. I won't go into specifics for brevity's sake but just as a few examples, one shots, defense needs to be more relevant, casting from various aspects, overwhelming player dependence on AoE damage, REMOVE COC there someone had to say it, crit in general, etc etc. I would imagine trade improvements won't come mid league either among others.

Read roberts quote.

You agreed with him completely so i assumed you read his post.

- it's not about a new league

- it's not about new content

That leaves general balance concerns and overall stability.

So i addressed those two issue's from my point of view in the current context we are in.

Anyway, read into it what you will, there was not putting words in anybody's mouth and there wasn't any attack.

The only attack is the veiled sarcasm in your post, but whatever.

And my last paragraph was going to be about the unnecessity of my post given the OP and the cliche utilized which demonstrates an unwillingness to even acknowledge my points. As evident by the briefness of your post layered with sarcasm.

See, i should have eaten that last paragraph again.

Peace,

edit : any way have at it, i am a troll. It's not like this thread is a total cliché based on absolutely nothing and used to stir the kettle and divide the forum in people agreeing and disagreeing.

I thought this was a bumped thread from 2012 when I read the title

Well, or 2013, 2014, or earlier this year

Another league isn't going to fix the problems they are having with this game:

-Trade is a long way off.

-Maps suck.

-Casters suck.

Next generation games are already coming out that will run on this machine sitting in front of me, it barely runs 3 people parties in POE.

Unfortunately, I already know the answer to my original question. Yep.

They don't have enough time or money to fix the game. They dug a deep hole this time, boyz.

I’m curious about how do you have any idea about their finances, oh wait you don’t.

This thread is the spitting image of why the forum is less traveled and everyone uses reddit for meaningful conversation. If you truly don’t like the game anymore or lost faith in development just stop playing. No need to spew unbased negativity claiming “facts” which are clearly your personal gripes.

I always find it laughable how quick people forget how much progress GGG has made. Didn’t they just move into a bigger office and hire 50 new people? Fact or fiction?
Prophecy @ WizKid - 94 BV Pathfinder
Prophecy @ SmackDown - 93 TS Assassin
Essence @ Wallbang - 93 Crit Lacerate Elementalist
Breach @ GodoftheBreach - 94 BF Inquisitor
Legacy @ BradPitt - 92 LL Ele Wander Inquisitor
I have often wondered why some people must place insistence on the melodramatic. GGG is not forcing anyone to play their game, if a person no longer enjoys the game, they can make a choice with their wallet and time investment and play other games. It is a mystery why some people can maintain such a loathsome attitude towards something when they have a choice to move onto greener pastures at their own volition. Furthermore, it is beneficial to both parties for the player to move on to another game, for the player can find increased enjoyment and happiness elsewhere and for GGG that they no longer have a player who paradoxically continues to play the game, but does not enjoy playing it and is vocal in their displeasure of it.

I love Path and I eagerly wait for all changes. Yes, sometimes the changes are difficult to digest but it just means that I get to use the knowledge i've gained since I started to make better use of the changing mechanics. Its THEIR game, created with THEIR time and many changes have been taken into account from the community. It's not fair to tell someone that their game sucks if YOU CONTINUE TO PLAY IT. Just stop playing and move on to something else that may interest you. I think maps are great, my RNG blows BUT that doesn't stop me from trying to find those rare uniques or the next GG rare. Plus, my goal is to level to 100 and to me, making it to that level in this game is going to be one of the most rewarding things in my personal game history due to just how much this game throws at us. If you want to be babied, go play D3.

-Trade is a long way off. Yes, if you hate the current system I guess this one is right.

-Maps suck. Elaborate? I have no problems and enjoy mapping

-Casters suck. Simply untrue - Must be L2P issues

Sorry you're not happy, but for the end of a one month'er the game seems pretty vibrant to me. Must be about perception, huh?
