This game need monster to hit 60% less harder
but at the same time we need 75% less healing like
1. Potion recharge need to be 75% slower
2. regen need to be 75% slower
3. group leach need to be 75% slower
This is pretty much design around to spam potions. There is no reason to save potion charges and run around at 50% HP. There is NO potion management. So much for hardcore ARPG, but it is actually all about spam mindlessly potions.
The spam it's only if you go crit (or if you have the harvest)

Sounds like Wispo made a weak build, and is now throwing a fit when its weakness is demonstrated...
POE is a flexible game, it gives you lots of tools and options, and the offshoot of that is you can fail. Sometimes the weakness of a build isn't immediately obvious and takes awhile to notice. Congrats, you've had a learning experience!
A high ES build needs to either (a) have lots of mitigation, like block/armor, allowing regen to be higher than incoming damage or (b) kill everything so fast you regen between packs. Playing a life based character I can have effectively 20k HP if I'm fast with flasks... You don't get that with ES, make up for it some other way.
A lot of tools, but many uneffective ...
ondar guile has been idiotly butchered
all + max elemental defenses have been reduced (saffell reduced, elemental adaptation firs reduced and then removed, diamond skin nerfed, aura nerfed.... what a shame!!!! -.- )
evasion sucks (you take a hit, you die)
Block? I'm building my second block exile for puredesperation, because the first one (75/72 block) were the subkect of an experiment by me. Exile vs titty bitch (one). 6-8 projectiles counted every time. EIGHT times on TEN, i was hit by SIX projectiles. What a fantastic block, yes yes -.-

Thats not tanky.
Large es pool. A regen like a constant quality divine life flask. cwdt (low level, for proccing every single small hit) + enfeeble. cwdt + molten shell (higher level). cwdt + decoy totem. Before, even cwdt + frost wall (but i sayed goodbye to it because was forever in my way). All "ample" flasks

Which other defense is he supposed to have, on a pure intelligence character?
That's a good question, but all I'm arguing is his setup is not tanky. 3 good sized hits in a row gimp him. A max block setup or a good evasion setup is way more tanky with far less hp, and it's not really close
Building a large hit point pool is not enough in high maps after 2.0
Not 3 blows, TEN :/
See this video starting from minute 1:14 (slow motion part)... the guy is hitted by only one of these projectiles for 1k damage, and if you count all of them, they are 9 or 10. The problem is that those is the "short" spray (=the spray fired "in a rose"). The boss has another spray, the "barraged one" ( ----------- ), and trust me, the hits of that are more :/

I ask myself WHEN GGG fill finish this shit of machine gun mobs (bitches, plummed chimerals, rakango, revenant) -.-

It's a misconception that having an awesome regen makes you tanky. Most of the big hits deal you instant spike damage, not over the time degeneration that would be mitigated by your regen. Unless you have 40-50% regen/s it won't really do a shit against two or three big hits in a row.
[s]only mindless sheep think labyrinth is OK to have in PoE.[/s]
okay nevermind labyrinth, fix dx9 blackscreen instead...

I disagree. Most of the minigun monsters are usually fine, as they deal multiple smaller hits.

Or even one hit. Dammit, Dominus really has a nasty one-shot punch.

I'll repeat my question (which is rhetorical) : which other defense is he supposed to have, on a pure intelligence character?
If he isn't tanky despite investing massively in the defenses available to his character, then there's a huge issue within the game.
He took a lot of ES.
HP is equivalent to ES.
He is int-based, so evasion and armour are out of the question.
Block isn't really available around the witch nodes.
Dodge is only available to dex-based characters.
Movement speed is only available in dexterity areas.
Or should he be using a specific unique, which has been made mandatory?
If 13K ES with a non-unique shield isn't tanky, then I believe that OP is right, there is a big issue within the current system.
Finally some one that turns on his brain!!!! THAAAAAAANKS!!!!!

the fact is that big hits aren't a problem for me (except vaal smash and ossecati smash)... for example, i can facetank all day long kaom and voll
The problem are 5392178558568 projectiles in a row, because i have noticd one thing : when a projectile hits me (expecially phantasmagoria boss map ones) it's like they "apply burn", because it's clear that my regen is TOTALLY STOPPED between one projectile and another (i have seen this clearly by making him hit me after raging spirits had soaked the major part of the spray)
But OBVIOUSLY, from ggg we cannnot (AS ALWAYS) know nothing... it's an attack? Or it's considered a spell? It's ice? It's lightning? It's physical + elemental? NOTHING -.-
