Just do what everyone with a brain has been doing with anticheats like xtrap, punkbuster, vac etc - block the process and kill the threads. Only stupid cheaters ever get caught...

This is really troubling me. Don't get me wrong, but this mindset feels very alien to me.
There is a good reason policemen do not have the right to just bust you for no specific reason given - at least in my country. They do not have the right to search you, search your house or spy on your mobile phone unless they have a direct permit from a chief judge, convincing him that you are a criminal.

This recent step by GGG is really shaking my faith in their integrity. Doing so in such a sneaky way in NOT how a goodwill with players is supposed to work!

I am still searching and waiting for someone from GGG to comment.

Until then, I am renaming one of my personal diary applications to "MemoryEditor.exe" and waiting, what happens.

So you are familiar with their actual code to know, how it works? This was put here as an example that once they are sniffing my running applications, there is no telling what they are using the data for and how.

Well, it is a bit extreme hyperbole, but why not? The trust is gone. There is no single warning that I am aware of during the installation of the game or during its launch phase informing you, that the game is actively monitoring your system and sending the data to GGG.

In my country, such situation is even against the law.

I wouldn't call myself an expert, but yes I know how it works (in general and this specific case).

Sorry, If you think they will sell your information to a marketing company like a Facebook I can't prove a negative.
