Why do people not want to haggle?
Discussing moderation actions can get you a warning... but I'll say:
Thanks for doing your job support. |

I love haggleling/bartering. Even if theres a buyout, I allways respect people for haggleling a little on the price, within reason. Its not sure they will get it for their expected price. But I sure as hell respect it :)

Because haggling is just not fun?
And if GGG intended it this way, this is no Pro-argument for haggling but just BS design and IS debatebale. Currently I do not play PoE, because progress is too dependend on trade and I just dont enjoy trading. Also I started to despise capitalistic behaviour and I dont want to have it in game as RL has awfully enough of it. I just want to play the game on my own, not getting exploited(by PathOfEconomists who naturally inflate prices) and also not get free stuff(=trade) Also I dont want to waste time on checking prices on third party websites in order to be competitive. So I dont play the game and just observe its development. I really believe that the multiplayer aspect sets PoE back, at least for me. Partying: no meaningful interaction, its just a free win button Trade: annoying, distracts and overshadows core game mechanics (looting and crafting) Last edited by ExiledRenor#3596 on Jul 28, 2014, 5:47:11 PM

I can do a trade for item, or lower the price if someone gives me a good reason to.
But most of the hagglers I see seem like people trying to get something uber cheap to flip. Oblivious

" Ive traded gems for gems, but also items for items. Ofcourse if its highend item its often easier to do the trade in orbs, but there is still bartering involved when we are agree on a price, both when Im the seller and the buyer. |
