Nothing drops in this game. Unrewarding to play.

I am not one of the "all RMTers get away with it people," because I do believe that GGG investigates RMT and does ban people. However, I also believe GGG is very unwilling to ban people unless they have very solid evidence against them, and that this "higher standard" has led to many, many RMTers effectively getting away with their crimes. I imagine that more than half of those who commit the crime go unpunished due to lack of evidence. As such, I have to have a laugh at Dirk's comment here.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

A little bit more control to the players, a little less RNG and cutting out some of the extremely low tier rolls that should never appear on higher ilvl gear, and a little more tweaking with drop rates...yeah. People wouldn't feel the need to RMT as much if they feel they can actually get somewhere with crafting in this game.

Suggestions/brainstorming.
-Making item drops area restricted. Due to my poor english, I will have to elaborate a little more on that and hope you will understand what I mean, or at least help you get the main picture (the fault being my own of course). An example: Area with monster level 40, cannot drop flaying knives (FK requires character level 35). That way, many goals are acomplished:

a)Quality of the drops gets improved without even touching the rarity drop rates, thus making farming for gear upgrades less RNG dependent,

b) giving players reasons to create new characters, since they will have more chances to get some of the rarer uniques in lower level areas (ex. eye of chayula etc),

c) remove the frustration of seeing a unique nailed fist in a lvl 78 map. I understand there is a problem with uniques and item level mechanics (number of slots mostly so a workaround could be that unique drops are excluded from the above mentioned mechanic.

-Making item mods, item level restricted. This might be an overkill but i will say it in case you think a better way of implementing it. Higher item levels shouldn't be able to roll too low prefixes. For instance, 67 itemlevel sword cannot roll lower than vicious or wicked mod. Seriously, you need to make crafting accessible to more people. At this moment, the only ones with the currency to afford crafting are the ones that don't need to craft for an upgrade.
I found crafting to be a very big asset of PoE. It was later, when i found out how it really works that i lost faith in it.

-Quest that give items as rewards could be tweaked. Personally, i haven't got an item from these quests that is better from what i already have (even in fresh leagues where I start from scratch). Those rewards always end back to the vendor in exchange for shards and prove a disappointment especially when I hope for a weapon upgrade. Some ideas on improving this are:

a) Vendor asks you to give him a white item which he will turn to rare with some fixed stats (fixed stats depend on the difficulty and act). For example: You put a white cutlass and get a rare one with 70%IPD, 20-40 added physical damage and the other affixes rolled randomly (ofc numbers need tweaking, I'm simply giving an example).

b) Vendor let's you pick from already-identified items, with fixed values, depending on difficulty and act (type of items determined by which class you are playing).
That way the player get a decent upgrade which will help him to progress through the game, until he manages to farm in harder areas. Also, this would close the gap between ranged/mage builds and melee physical builds (atm it is very easy and less gear dependent to make a ranged character or a mage. Why almost force a player to stick with a certain build in order to get a decent experience?).

I never seen more blantant censorship and lack of freedom of speech on game forums.

Post after post, thread after thread... removed, cutted, censored by enigmatic 'support' without a word of explanation why or what was removed.... Pathetic. And sad.

But i think is in line with company policy where normal player is censored on forums and RMTers, scammers, exploiters etc are officially protected.

Again... sad.

@Wilson (and others that creates this policies) and my dear 'support' employees - you are born ~65-70 years to late. There was couple of countries in Europe that would love to have you 50-70 years ago. They also loved censorship and all this stuff.
I also love a fact that after PoE will die tyou all will easily find a job in nice countries like North Korea or Cuba. Good Luck and have fun.

:/

Things get removed by support when they are breaking the forum guidelines. If you have a problem, I suggest emailing them directly.

There is no freedom of speech on *most* forums. Especially on game sites.

That butthurt is beyond massive lol.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
