Didn't you make a "quitting the game" thread not long ago? And now this...

Right, my bad. Was a "lost interest in game" thread.

I haven't quit the game, I'm just playing other stuff, because there's not really anything in PoE right now that "pulls" me in (no 74+ maps left), so it feels a bit like work to progress further than 85 in Ambush. I'll eventually dive in again, probably tackling HC.

I guess I'm also waiting for the trading system changes and hopefully some other improvements that make the game more enjoyable to me at higher levels without having to play in groups or spend lots of time on trading. But overall, I like the game and plan to playing it for years to come (probably in bursts with breaks inbetween, like in the past too).

You really don't have to party or trade all day either though... I play solo all the time, no one helping me roll my maps, not sitting in trade spamming my gear for sale in trade chat or sitting on the party board trying to scrape some alterations off the top via currency conversion.

I am far from lucky, each league I have had to scrape by the first month or so, mapping I have had to drop down to my 70's leaving some 73-75's so I didn't feel like I had no maps. This season I decided to play a cookie cutter that looked really fun, not necessarily expensive.

Still working on gems, something to work towards to keep me moving on this build...

Countless 74s and lower, same in Domination towards the end. Each 4 month league I have not had issues advancing, yes it has been a grind. Domination it took 1 1/2 months worth of fusings to 6L my Astral, this league took 500 fuses (2-3 weeks).

I have a full time job, family and play 2-3 hours a day, maybe more on my weekends. It isn't impossible. I could sell off my gear and exchange orbs to get a shavs or kaoms, don't need one but could already get one a little over a month into the league.

I will probably be bored with this build, sell off the gear and build something else next month. This pace is PERFECT for me, I don't want a "complete" character a month into a league. I am not trying to brag, but seriously there is no reason anyone else couldn't accomplish what I have. I could trade 24/7 and have 3 Soultakers, 2 Kaoms, a 6L Shavs but I don't need all that to play the game, or care about people who do.

What else could you want?

EDIT: There should be no reason you run out of 74's, you should never use them all.. That leaves the feeling you have of not advancing, dropping down to 71's and 72's while you have 74's is a whole different feeling than running 71's and 72's because you have nothing else.

guess i forgot my profile was on private was sick of people PMing me whats b/os on my items when they are posted right next to the item in the thread

but anyways why do i care about them? they come and talk about things they like or dont like about a game that they dont even play. yah im interested in the fact that someone who dont even play the game comes to its forum and talks about it lol

But how should GGG know what nonplayer expect from the game, if they won´t write here in the forum?
And for myself i wouldn´t participate on a forum where only little apple-shinies post ;)

There are games the are built on the different definitions of hardcore, if this one doesn't fit your criteria, there are others out there that do.

This will never be Dark Souls or a competitive MOBA.

Simple: because I loved the game once - and just some tiny adjustments that would suite my (and more broadly: casuals) tastes I would once again love the game.

So I stick around looking for information and hope that someday those changes might come.
