Path of Desync?

I play hardcore and I play melee so how come I never die due to desync?

Maybe because I don't take risk I shouldn't take knowing desync might occur or maybe because I don't blame desync when I died after a little desync in a situation that would got me killed also without desync?

Because you take ages to progress? some dont like taking unrealistically long periods of time or just the idea of ignoring mobs because they dsync? this is what you just said no? you dont die...because you play around dsync right? so never as melee do you just happen to get 1shot by invisible flameblasts ( dsync ) because you probably completely skip the exile, or any hard for melee mob as if he was not in the game, sounds so fun.

Sounds like the solution is very simple indeed startkabels, but maybe JUST maybe people who play melee dont want to have to pace THAT much...or not be able to enter a room before having pulled all the mobs because if you dont you WILL dsync and you WILL die, you are RIGHT indeed. its very simple in theory to do all this, thing is, its in the game people don't want to skip the game content it feels pretty gross i guess you just dont realize almost everyone who complains just doesn't always care that THEY can change things , because they are indeed broken, and everyone knows it and plays around it already, but how much more ? because from what i can tell its never gotten better, in fact its wayyy worst for me, and I have the best available internet in the area...no issues with other games since I switched internet I have always been amazed at how much rubber-banding i use to have playing other games oh god...competitive games too... it felt great for every game except poe, poe got worst and it just makes no sense to me that there is no sign of improvement towards this.

Im not asking GGG to remove dsync what so ever im asking them to help us manage it and not let dsync chose when the fuck we die, PERIOD even if this means adding something OP as fuck dsync IS op.
hit me up @sarrow lets have fun :D

I'll share my experience here,

Like a lot of people in this thread I enjoy playing hardcore, and I've lost my unfair amount of cyclone characters to desync. And I love cyclone so much.

One of the things I've come to understand is desync in maps with small doors seems to happened a bit more than on other locations (vaal pyramid, tower of god, etc)

take this video previously shared in this thread :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFscrxPAvRo

We can't know what caused the desync by simply looking at the video, but we can make assumptions :
1 : server-side the player get chain-stunned, and client-side he managed to escape the first hit that caused a stun thanks to the built-in desync.

2 : a really small desync occurs (stun, monsters, or any other reason), thus making the player server-side unable to go through the door from it's current location (blocked by monsters or environnement), and able to do it client-side.

I don't know if collisions are checked sever-side, client-side or both, but if they are checked both sides, I think that allowing more permissive collisions server-side (without changing them client-side) would prevent some desync-cascades

You have a level 33 character in HC.

Try playing a level 70+ character in HC, especially in Invasion league when people were getting insta killed by Rima, Judge, Soilmaker, Ch'aska, Maker of Flame, etc.

With the amount of burst spike damage that is present in endgame, desync is extremely lethal to melees in endgame scenarios. Sure, you can account for it with things like block/spell block, but eventually you will get hit, and if you don't recover fast enough (which desyncs do last long enough at times), you pretty much die. Stop with the nonsense if you've never played a melee in endgame HC. It's not as easy as it looks, and there's a reason why almost everyone in HC plays ultra safe ranged builds. It's not because they are faster either (flicker strike dagger is WAY faster).

If you think that means I've never played end game think again. I delete all my characters that die or I don't find fun anymore and start over...

You have no idea how much experience I have and you should know it, that statements tells us more about you than about me...

When you make blanket statements like

'I play melee and I never die in HC'

It signals a shit ton of bullshit. Even players that do full tank builds have died because of desync. So please, don't give me that nonsense that you've never died in HC unless you stick to playing lower level content.

I delete characters all the time too; I guess that says I must be one of the most experienced most skilled PoE players of all time huh by that logic, since I delete characters all the time and still sit on multiple 70+ characters. Must be 2gud at the game.

You called yourself a casual in other threads, then you have no high level characters, then make blanket bullshit statements like 'I play HC melee and never die in endgame to desync.' It's pretty obvious that you're either trolling, or just straight ignorant and have never actually played the game into endgame with a melee character, ever.
Really, i like the game, but i am right ahead to ragequit and never come back -.-
As my mainchar is a summoner, i do not care that much about desync while playing with him.
But recently i started a new char, again, and it's the same as always... and even worse:
3sec+ desyncs every 10-30 seconds!?!
Even if i hate the fact that you should change your playstyle so that less desync happens, i do my best to prevent cases which could cause it. But it is useless. I am doin my best to always have a free line between me and the enemies. I don't, as usual, hide behind doorways and attack from the best protectet angle ... and so on ... but OMG i am goin crazy!
I can't even have a single fight against 3 strong mobs without ending up in a mess because my client again lies to me...
Returning back after so long, it is disappointing to see desync is still there.

Did they release any updates regarding to desync problem? Any improvements are expected?

Cant support Cyclone with Multistrike. One could stretch this to a desynch fix if you have silly putty.

Nothing in the patch notes that I noticed, however there's lots of opportunity for them to make improvements that wouldnt be in the notes. The downtiime is pretty long, which suggests (possibly) some hardware reconfiguration.
I was playing since close beta and recently came back to play. i dont remember whats the reason why'd i quit playing that time for such a good arpg. i realized after playing again it is desync. such a waste. i think i wont play it anymore until they fix this big problem.

same reason about 50% of their player base quit, release new xpac, make $ then realize that they cant keep player base so start working on new expac so they can mask the shit with glitter, eventually the people that support the game will give up and leave, business model not a customer support model.
