Well, it does have very good synergy with some other well known uniques. That being said, yeah, it's nothing that should warrant a nerf. If anything, it's a bit uncommon for how...not stellar it is.

Since its probably obscure, I'm probably so wrong. Unless you think its OP cuz its cheap, and cheap for a reason...


That is only +90% spell power at 75% chance to block.

You would be missing:

Potentially about 100 to 150% spell crit chance and about 10% cast speed if you were to just wield an ordinary Wand or Dagger. Plus a wide array of handy mods that can spawn on rare wands/daggers.

*Wands and Daggers can already spawn up to 100% spell power.

The shields can spawn up to 74% spell power.

So can you plz share this build?? I am interested, I bet a lot of us are if they have never seen that unique (that is the first time I have seen that unique).

It's not OP because "zomfg1shotbosseslol". Incinerate can't crit anyway (without stuff like Diamond Shrine or the Crit curse), so you're losing nothing from not having the stats you mentioned.

It's the fact that it's basically a Vaal Pact/max block/max spell block build, without having to take Vaal Pact (since LoH is always 100% instant, unlike life leech, and this doesn't require a gem slot), and Incinerate hits really fast, not really hard. It's 100% ele reflect immune, even with -max resist mods, immune to the more worrisome mobs in the game (due to Arctic Armor Voidbearers and Tentacle Miscreations deal literally zero damage, but that's just AA being awesome and has nothing to do with the unique).

No, it won't give you nerdboner tooltip dps, but with a 6 link, I've figured that I could reach around about 30k shotgun dps, which isn't bad for a build that can damn near facetank Shock and Horror's laser of doom when the adds are right on top of you, and just a topaz flask up (obviously you wouldn't want to do this on a map with goofy boss damage mods).

The only thing I found that gave it any issues was the Lightning Thorns bosses in Promenade, and even that was easily manageable, so long as you don't tool around and give the arcmage time to cast her thorns on everything in the vicinity.
