Sean's DW Blood Tanky DPS
A few things, you could save a few points by going a different route to the Mara tree. Personally, I would drop Celerity. The three points I just mentioned would allow you to pick up Blood Drinker and 24% Health.
Another thing, how do you deal with BR in Merciless? I'm at 5.4% regen on my duelist and still lose life (fairly quickly) due to the chaos resist penalty. EDIT: Just saw the revised build and still I'm a little skeptical. Twin Terrors really only pays off if you can get some pretty high crit weapons. With axes you don't even have the inherent crit multi that you do on rapiers so it pays off even less in my opinion. Another thing, Armor Master is really just a luxury, 20% movespeed is more than enough to counter pure armor. I would also drop that 6% resist node and invest it somewhere else, get resists from gear. IGN: Lawsuit | Lawshoot Last edited by TheAxiom#4707 on Feb 17, 2013, 3:55:35 AM

I have recently started a Duelist Dual Wield build, and I came across this thread,
Many of your builds/points/ideas reflect mine, almost exactly. I originally tried to do this with a shadow, but quickly gave up on that idea. I also wonder if axes are best, as rapiers have better crit chances. I am currently level 26 but here are my progression builds.
Spoiler
Duelist Dual Wield 19 Points Duelist Dual Wield 34 Points Duelist Dual Wield 54 Points Duelist Dual Wield 70 Points Duelist Dual Wield 75 Points (I know this is a small jump, but this is where Unwavering Stance & Iron Reflexes are added, finally) Duelist Dual Wield 80 Points (5 points later adding Gallantry and Ambidexterity) Duelist Dual Wield 94 Points (This is where I think the character is pretty much finished, but still a few more points to spend to 110) Duelist Dual Wield 110 Points As for now, these are the plans I have. Of course I may change something, and I look forward to hearing anyone's ideas... but pretty much, it is the same build as Sean's and I had never been on this thread before. I guess some minds think alike. |

" You 75 point build is pretty much where I am now at level 62 - end of A2 Merc. Only problem I face at this point is chaos damage, which can mostly be avoided with good movement. Also you missed extra endurance charges at that point - Im running 5 charges which gives extra 25% resists and 25% melee reduction and makes life a lot easier. So far its fun and working. Looking forward to Act 3 - hopefully today. About weapon choice - I prefer axes even tho I do not take special axe passives, just because that added base dps. I took Resolute Technique and my DPS went about 15-20% higher. Good luck! Last edited by Saery#0396 on Feb 18, 2013, 3:31:29 AM

This has got to be one of the most GARBAGE builds in the entire game. The pathing is horribly inefficient, its almost as if you've never even played a hack n slash before. Seriously, anyone who follows this guy's guide is an idiot.

" While I agree that pathing has changed making it less ideal (i guess this was made to get blood magic ealier) then calling someone an idiot for following someone else guide is rude and just proves lack of inteligance on your part :) If you would advise on how this build should be changed and proved that by posting a link to your much better build, then maybe just maybe people could see you as more of a player rather then 8 year old kid that just found out how to post in forums. Honestly, if all you can do is call people idiots, then go back to your hole and don't bother :) There is no need to have kis like you post on forums. |

Hi guys,
Currently lvl 27 following this guide. However I have some difficulties against casters especially from fire or ice with multishot like GMP. Sometimes when there a lot of monster with casters I have to jump, run and potions a lot. How do you manage this ? I use : - Life Gain On Hit + Cleave + Leap Slam - Flicker Strike + Frenzy - Dual Strike + Additional Accuracy - Warlord's Mark - Decoy Totem Cheers |

" Caster are our biggest nightmare due to the game mechanics. However way i was able to get around it was: Get Temoral Chains gem. This will slow them down 30%+ including their casting speed (so much less dagame coming your way). Fire Trap is amazing. Just get your totem in first, then Temoral Chains big group. Throw Fire trap x3 where there is most of them. 3 Fire Traps will deal with that goup easly unless you have pack of elites (blue names - do they call them elites in this game ??) Cleave+Life on Hit+Faster Attacks Dual Strike+Faster Attacks+Added Physical Damage Those two are your bread and butter. Added Accuracy i would link with Frenzy. Thhis way you stack frenzy quickly (never missing) and switch over to Dual Strike or Cleave with very fast attack speed. Having CD on Flicker i just find not as usefull. I rather use Whirling Blades and it works as good with no cooldown. Warlords' if it is easy pack. Temoral Chais on casters/archers if they are out of your reach and then Warlords on your current target. If you have loads of casters next to you then just Temoral Chains on them and Cleave them to death refreshing TC as soon as it is off. For Elites casters (one with blue names) i tend to pick them up one by one by Dual Strike. Temoral Chains them all and then stack Frenzy and Dual Strike one by one. If you have to get out use Whirling Bales, drink a potion and go in again. Also look for flasks with LIfe Leech during Flask duration. When fighting nasty pack having 2% extra Life Leech will keep you topped up. One flask NEEDS to have forzen dispel. |
