i dont even play to grind, i just enjoy killing stuff, but it gets monotonous to kill,kill,

and kill with these shitty drop rates and old content.. i know.. ''just play for fun!''and

thats what i do, but theres no new content, theres no rewarding item drop, theres no

motivation to grind gear for this unbalanced pvp... im just not enjoying to play this,

its getting way too fucking repetitive. and im not even mentioning the discusting trading system.

thats why im not playing POE since dec 7 or 8...

So, the most common reason for stopping / quitting, is shitty looting experience.

Not surprising, since most players expect this to be a loot finding game and not a loot trading game, despite GGG's glorious vision that everything must revolve around trading...

We need ACT 4 quick and more maps that don't look the same as earlier instances, it gets repetitively boring when you have shitty drops for several weeks, and the lag/desynch is the second reason. Also need more endgame uniques to compete with the limited end game selection. Great game but it needs an upgrade soon so we can fully enjoy once again.

Have just decided to quit today after realising that, over the last 3 days of not playing, I haven't missed it.

Guess I'm missing half the game because I didn't actually get to trade. Not for want of trying.

I made a forum post, my prices were rock bottom - I sold 1 item.

I updated my post, added a couple of bits, bumped it - nothing.

Trading in real-time is only good for the unemployed. I got to see a reasonable game for the half of it I played which was a Marauder to 77. I'm chalking this off as one of the most frustrating games I've played in 20 years because the implementation of trading to 3rd party websites is just plain dumb.

Yesterday I deleted all characters and gave away over 60 tabs with orbs, maps, gems, etc over all leagues (annoyingly in that order, so the best equipment was not given away). It took a really long time, staying up until 3 am. I felt fantastic afterwords, finally being done with poe.

Reason for quitting:
1. spending too much time being negative on forum should make the alarm bells ring in my head.

2. Its a trade sim. Trading is primary, secondary and tertiary. Actually playing the game is not viable for wealth generation.

3. The (in my mind) absurd assumption that its fun to not expect stuff. Playing hundreds of hours and expect a couple of bis items is first world modern generation sense of entitlement in this game. It´s just strange.

4. Poe is the least rewarding game I have ever played. I have spent a lot of time playing both this and other games. I`ve never felt like getting absolutely nothing in return before.

People being really unhappy with the game should try doing the same and forget the hope of having fun in this game. significant change will not happen, never. Give away your stuff and delete the toons, and look for greener fields elsewhere. That´s a much better solution than staying miserable in game and being negative on the forums, hoping for change that will never come.

I'm currently playing other games, but really playing less games overall. Mostly Roguelikes and Roguelike-likes (i.e. The Binding of Isaac) also trying out Torchlight II (with the recently mentioned Mamba's Extended Mod Merge 2) and keeping up with Grim Dawn development.

As a solo self-found player, I have to say I do appreciate the drop rates TL2 and GD provide to the player. PoE could stand to relax a little in this respect. Still, PoE is and will be my Ur-ARPG, and I'll be back quite soon.

Path of Exile kept me entertained for a much longer time than most other games that I've played. I quit just because I've had enough of it, after my last high level hardcore character died and I was too lazy to level another one. Not saying the game is bad in anyway. It's really great, but I cannot force myself to play too much when I don't feel like it.

Also because I've become really busy IRL I don't have much time for PoE, which is a relatively 'time-hungry' game.

I stopped playing few days ago and I am really glad I did it.

Most important reason is the fact this is lest rewarding game that I know. I was playing few hours per day till closed beta and I have found probably 3-4 exalted and not even one item worth 1 exalted. Playing self found is almost impossible in this game.

There are only 3 possibilities to play at Path of Exile:
1) You have farming characters with IIQ and IIR. Almost all are extremely boring (summoners, totems, etc.). I tried it ant this is not for me.
2) You play trade simulator. Also extremely boring and problematic using archaic trading system. I didn't even wanted to try this.
3) You play game. The most interesting way and the least rewarding. I done this and it looks like this is the worst possibility.

Most of people say the best thing is creating builds in Path of Exile. This is not true. Creating weird and interesting builds in Path of Exile is possible only when you have some wealth.

Nerfs are also really annoying at this game. Almost all builds that I liked was nerfed. It came to the point when I see some interesting skill and I don't use it, because I know that GGG will entirely change it.

I loved Path of Exile when I started playing it one and half year ago. Currently I prefer to do anything else, because it seems more rewarding and less frustrating then this game.
