I don't really see the issue. GGG's goal has been not to support pay to win. Should they also decide that play to win is a bad thing? Of course those players, who spend more time on the game get higher gear. That is true even without a possibility to trade.
If it was PLAY to win, it would be fine. It's PRAY to win. 1 Item for sale in the whole league after a month of people chaining 76+? What exactly is this PLAY you speak of? When no lifers chain 76+ for 10 hours straight daily for a month and don't find one of these items, that seems like a problem.

Anyway, making some uniques map-only ( and most of them high lvl map ) was the biggest mistake GGG did so far.

Can't they be chanced? Or did I read patch notes wrong?

Yes, they can be chanced. Spending 5,000 chance orbs and hoping for an item is no less RNG or less unreasonable.
BTW that 6s voltaxic ended up selling for 65 exalt, because the guy missed the 85 exalted bid.
Yes, this game can be played solo, but you aren't getting 85 exalts without playing trade. Doesn't matter how good your drops are. Back to not having a single one for sale in league. This is silly, and discourages league play. If I want to use one of these items, why would I reroll in a new league when I could simply use my one in standard?

Its not even entertaining to play the game when you have almost no hope of finding anything useful. Reminds me of d3 I spent alot on real money on gold to buy gear so I could farm high mps thinking I could find my own shit for a change, it never happened. In the end I did enjoy D3 for longer, but I had real life friends on that game and none here, they tried it and left long ago.
In all my years of playing D2 Ladder, I found one Pul Rune on my own. My bots found 4 (el oh el), and I traded for the rest. Self-found wasn't viable in D2 if you're looking for full best-in-slot gear across all your characters, just as it isn't viable in PoE. But here's the secret: you don't need best-in-slot gear to succeed in this game. But you do need a bit of skill, which is something that gets forgotten more and more in this generation of gamers. People that are used to auto-saves and checkpoints every 25 seconds really get annoying when they try playing a real game, especially when they don't want to admit they suck at it after fifteen levels.
Doesn't much matter. You could reliably farm torches and sell them for high runes. I've yet to find an equivalent here. I was able to use those proceeds to equip and try out various builds on various alts. Here? GL with that, it's not happening. There's nothing but extreme luck or trading in a poorly implemented system once you reach "end-game" in PoE, which means there's no consistent path to advancement that involves actually playing the game. Dealing with the less than brilliant populace of this game does not qualify as playing the game.

Exactly... And the thing is, GGG builds the game around the 4 month leagues and encourages people to play in them.. 65 exalts for a non-linked item...How can someone actually think this is legit?! I play at least 6 hours a day and Im STILL complaining! lol I dont get it
Edit: Oh and on the chance topic, I once spent at least 10k chance/scours on an occulist vestment in anarchy and never got a shavs.. Back in the day, the chances of getting a unique were about 1 in 500, but those days are LOOOOOOONG gone and its basically like winning the lottery now. BTW, I wouldnt suggest spending scours on chancing items. Save up and just buy the damn thing, it will be cheaper.

See, I didnt have a problem in anarchy.. I ran in groups and dropped awesome uniques, and I ran solo and dropped awesome uniques.. I had a blast! With these changes in domination, not so much....

I call them the "new blizzard generation of gamers"
I don't think of Blizzard as much with this. CoD, Halo, Uncharted, Mass Effect, sure, but not Blizzard. Hell, even GTA5 had checkpoints mid-mission. Where's the penalty for failing and dying? You replay the last 30 seconds. No loss of lives, you don't even have to start the level over. This is one of the biggest things that PoE is getting right, and if you can't handle it, it might be time to play something else.

Sorry to inform you this game is just one big gearcheck.
It doesn't take gear to not stand in a poison cloud or dodge The Touch Of God, bro.
Look, man. Video games are hard, okay?

You can't reliably farm blue items and sell the shards/orbs of alteration to vendors and ultimately get Orbs of Alchemy? Run a full clear of a lvl 59 zone with about 15% IIR, sell all the blues and tell me currency is hard to come by.
