haha, i always laughed when i read the statement, those who are rich in permanent leagues are also rich in 4 month leagues, since they know how to play the market (yes i understood you where sarcastic too)

Care to elaborate? Why is this a problem?
Because with current drop rates, the only way to obtain 50 exalts in less than 5 years of play for a very lucky player is to trade and not grind.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there is a method out there to reward people who grind more than they trade, because trading intrinsically tends to maximize economic efficiency.
if you are just about making as much profit as possible, the best way is to camp /trade 1 and a1n as long as you are online, dont even try to run a map or something, thats just for entertainment not for profit

Its not even entertaining to play the game when you have almost no hope of finding anything useful. Reminds me of d3 I spent alot on real money on gold to buy gear so I could farm high mps thinking I could find my own shit for a change, it never happened. In the end I did enjoy D3 for longer, but I had real life friends on that game and none here, they tried it and left long ago.

This is the problem that im speaking of:
I dont know about everyone else, but I feel that when I run maps with my MF solo, I find no uniques. But if I run with say 3 other people, a unique will drop off every map boss we kill. Now Im a party player, dont get me wrong... But when friends arent online and dont play as much as me (which is a lot), its sucks running 76+ maps solo trying to find those rare uniques and not have anything drop.. Its a waste of a high map and a waste of my xp fighting those gg bosses solo.. I dont mind uniques being map drop only, but its almost a month into the new leagues and there is what, 1 voltaxic on the whole server? Ive seen 1 mings heart for sale, 13exalts. It got sold instantly and now the play who bought it is selling it for 18exalts... Void batteries selling for 25+exalts.. Let alone casual players, this just isnt fun for hardcore players who play 8+ hours a day like me.. We want to try out different builds throughout the 4 month leagues and with the current state of the game, this just isnt possible.. You even said it yourself, GGG, POE is about rerolling characters, not endless endgame. Please think about it.
Thanks

Edit: Dont get me wrong, I got lucky in Dom and can afford most of these uniques.. Its just that the price and availability of them after a month into a 4 month league is ludicrous not only for casual players, but for hardcore players as well.

In all my years of playing D2 Ladder, I found one Pul Rune on my own. My bots found 4 (el oh el), and I traded for the rest. Self-found wasn't viable in D2 if you're looking for full best-in-slot gear across all your characters, just as it isn't viable in PoE. But here's the secret: you don't need best-in-slot gear to succeed in this game. But you do need a bit of skill, which is something that gets forgotten more and more in this generation of gamers. People that are used to auto-saves and checkpoints every 25 seconds really get annoying when they try playing a real game, especially when they don't want to admit they suck at it after fifteen levels.
Look, man. Video games are hard, okay?

The solution is clear - give it time, ppl will whine until GGG capitulates and "adjusts" drop rates.
