HMMM, No it doesn't. Usefulness differs from person to person. Some items that are very popular now will probably have no value to me if there was no trade. I'd most likely vendor them.
Question is Y U NO LIKE TRADE DAWG?

Yes please, tell me how to play this game.I need to be told how because we can't jsut all play the game our way. Maybe tell me what I should eat or how to spend my free time.

Capitalism is shit, even though it is the best we have. And this system isn't even capitalistic so... thanks for that completely useless post. I do hope it made you feel better about yourself.[/i]
So it's the best but it's shit in the same time? That's a good thing no? I'm confused...
Have you not heard of the saying, that one needs to avoid political and religious beliefs in conversations? INB4 massive shitstorms happen on this thread.

Its not even entertaining to play the game when you have almost no hope of finding anything useful. Reminds me of d3 I spent alot on real money on gold to buy gear so I could farm high mps thinking I could find my own shit for a change, it never happened. In the end I did enjoy D3 for longer, but I had real life friends on that game and none here, they tried it and left long ago.
thats the actual state of the game. you can either make profit or play the game xD

It's a bit of a shame. Good thing it's not like that when leveling though, you could easily play self-found uptill late merc I'd say. It just seems to start at endgame level.

Like it should be. There needs to be an ecnomomy, without one there is no value to items and when items have no value they don't mean shit and the fun of finding them or owning them is gone. Stop whining or go play a babies game, because really, a 12yr old could understand such a simple fact and work that out for themselves.

And hell, if the game so desperately needs an economy (it doesn't), just institute league-wide AH's, no buyouts, no reserve. There, no more spammy trade chats and third party websites and forum stores. Problem solved, economy runs smoother than ever.

increase a chance to "chance" uniques.
increase orb drop rates. Sure, it will drive prices up but with previous sentence in place, it would negate that effect to some extent.
More orbs = more crafting and incentive to craft. You can craft 400-500dps thicket or harbringer bow, make crit build, take vaal pact and shit all over that voltaxic "QQ, I can't handle reflect without it" bow.
But this thread is not about Voltaxic bow, that was just an example given by OP.
You can still be rich even if shavs and voltaxics were to cost 5 exalted because drop rate and chance rate are 500% bigger. How? Well, they would still be rare items and you can have 50 of them while someone has only 1. In the end, we would get more playing for a lot of people and traders are gonna trade anyway. No harm done (save for elitists and their egos but screw them :) )

Increasing orb drop rates only causes more inflation and prices remain essentially the same for those who have the bulk of their currency in items, while it gets worse for new or poorer players. Thank fuck GGG doesn't listen to the whining of kids about drop rates and solo play. This isn't single player game, part of it is trading, get the fuck over it.

I don't see whiny kids just one throwing a hissy fit.
Why all these provocations? You can't counter the arguments so it's 'eat it or die'?

So true.
GGG should seriously consider gutting the orb drop rate in party play by a considerable margin as well,in my opinion it's a big contributor to inflation.
They need to continue to tweak/monitor the orbs secondry use (crafting) as it as well has the potential to ruin the market with a flood of absolutely faceroll gear.
Just my two GCPs
