Sidebar - Resorting to checking someone's account and toon roster is an invalid way to argue against their valid points. You have no idea how many toons I have had, or if I have other accounts. It is, in essence, stooping to personal attacks in order to attempt to "win" a discussion.

If there is one of each item for sale or even listed on xyz, I wouldn't consider that "dropping."

You have not made any valid points, I checked your toons because you made the "enjoy the journey" argument, and to make said argument when you haven't even completed the journey is fallacious at best. I do in fact have a way to check how many toons you have had that have ever reached the ladder in any league. It is not stooping to a personal attack to point out your lack of experience when said experience is pertinent to the discussion at hand.

And I restate my argument that items not being available for trade does not mean they are not dropping. It stands to reason that people that get the awesome, OMFGICAN'TBELIEVEIGOTTHISUNIQUE drop would want to play around with it, experiment with it, hang on to it, or only trade it around to friends/guildmates rather than to some guy with a ton of trade currency.

Your perception may not be reality, accept that. If that isn't a valid point, then you and I have no common grounds on which to base any kind of discussion.

You are upset, you have (apparently) put in a lot of time to attempt to acquire high-end, rare, and valuable items and some of those are, in some way, gated off from you. You want an easier path to said acquisition so that you can put a feather in your cap. Again, sounds like all of this is on you, and not GGG.

Sure, but trading needs to be optional, not mandatory. At the moment we have Diablo 3 with a different skill system.

It is optional, you can do fairly well without trading. But if you increase drop rates then you cause more inflation and you end up with D3 RoS, get good gear in a week get bored and quit. Regardless, at the end of the day this is a mmo-ish game, with a community and an economy, trading will always be a part of it, just like it was in D2, you can get decent gear that allows you to play the game solo but if you want the best you have to trade. Really, people whine because they don't find astral plates with 1k+ armour, high life and tri-res every few maps, not because they can't find OK gear.

85 exalts really isn't much currency. I had that much within the first two weeks of Domination.

I enjoy this game a lot but it is sad to see acquiring end-game gears rely on luck and trade. Even with trade you may never catch up with the inflation on certain gears without good drops.
