Really?? This is a problem....
" What makes you think gear and wealth is the focus in ARPGs? If that's all you care about why not play a trading sim? |

" Tell me then, what else are ARPG's like POE and D2 about? And if that's not the case, why are kids whining about drop rates? |

" Extreme ignorance. 1. Not everyone here lives in merica. 2. Not everyone's economy is the same. 3. Not everyone's options are the same in life. The current state of the games trading system/economy is FUBAR look up the acronym. It's horrendous and GGG should at least try to do something about it. " They are about planning and making a build, seeing how the char develops and gets stronger (or how he doesn't work out), and about finding good loot to get even more stronger or make other builds with it. In D2 it worked. Here you can grind yourself numb. Without trading there are good chances you will stay mediocre for literally years and until then will not be able to try builds other than those that just keep on stacking offense and defense. |

" Years! wtf! |

" I see. So you were referring to that. I thought people have the general right to freedom of speech. Maybe I'm wrong? Well either way it doesn't matter because GGG obviously WANTS the opinions of people on things otherwise we wouldn't have a suggestions or general forum. " Wasting your time indeed. This doesn't answer my question nor does it make any point or sense to me. You make it sound as if GGG are this company being paid by some "investors" to make a game and they JUST HAPPEN to let us play it because they feel like it (or am I misunderstanding?). And that players' opinions or the money they spend on the game have barely any relevance to them. Which I think is NOT the case. And even if it were like that wouldn't these investors only invest because people play the game and pay money for it thus turning a profit? In which case listening to these players' concerns would be in GGG's interest as losing players would mean losing profit and thus not appeasing said investors? |

" Yes, years. This is me: " I guess I played considerably more than 500 hours. I have found a couple nice belts and a couple nice gloves but nothing that really sells well. I have found only the commonest uniques, except 2 but both are sort of build-specific, but for builds I cannot make because I cannot make up for their downsides. I have found 1 exalt. " It's about designing and experimenting with effective builds and killing shit while having fun. What the hell do you think ARPG's are about? Following the cookie cutter build you found online then trading in chat or forums all the damned time to buy the gear to make it work? SUPER FUN HELLS YEAH " Bullshit. An item's value lies in it's usefulness, not in its trade value in some cracker-jack "economy". As such items would still have value (or not) even if all trading were completely disabled. Just like they do now. It's good to know you're so attached to trading that you only value items for what they can get for you, not how you can use them to play the game. And hell, if the game so desperately needs an economy (it doesn't), just institute league-wide AH's, no buyouts, no reserve. There, no more spammy trade chats and third party websites and forum stores. Problem solved, economy runs smoother than ever. " Thanks for succinctly demonstrating one of the massive flaws in human psychology. And I'm going to steal a line here. Capitalism is the worst economic system, except for all the others that have been tried. Capitalism is shit, even though it is the best we have. And this system isn't even capitalistic so... thanks for that completely useless post. I do hope it made you feel better about yourself. |

" I didn't mean to offend or anything. What I meant is that, you have the right to say w.e on their private forum because they chose to give you that right not because you bought their packs. Giving them money for packs is not a donation. Buying packs doesn't mean "hey. ggg I'm your boss now, alright. Chris, no milk, no sugar, espresso please". If you want to a make donation you contact support. I'm sure like any of us they would be happy to take your money. Even then, donation doesn't give you the right to dictate their game design decisions. " Semantics, but no. They can choose not to listen to you because there's a big gap between investor and customer. They could pretty well follow the same path as Blizard and cater to casuals if they wanted to. Yet they aren't, they are catering to the type of customer they want to cater too, for whatever reasons they may have. When I was co-owner of a bakery, I occasionally had customers who wanted whip cream in their Eclairs.I politely told them to fk off, I don't make Eclairs with whip cream. Chocolate and vanilla only, it is my dying motto. I'd rather die then taint the image of my shop with that filth pastry. Especially since all the bakeries around me were using whip cream like crazy. Whip cream is poor mans cream. The bakery 2 streets from me uses it in every pastry they make. EVEN IN CANNOLI, CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! It's an abomination. Same with GGG, if you don't fit their criteria they probably won't care much about you. That sounds harsh, but I personally admire them. A hardcore gaming company is very hard to find nowdays. Taking a stance in todays gaming era makes my hearth pound like a lil girl. These guys are still on the market doing what they do, OMG, SUCCESS!! I'm sure their sales team already established what part of the market they want to head to. I think they are making quite alot of money from their player base. But IDK, as this is all supposition. I can assume if you have 1.7mil active players, alot of them are bound to pay atleast 20$ each month a cool item affect appears. I know I would, but then again I like to think I'm a special snowflake. I think once I become and investor/supporter(epic title btw) I will get to see their Income statement ( supporters please confirm). |

Fair enough.
Off topic: All this talk about investors got me thinking they should make a microtransaction or something called Investor of Wraeclast that would make your gear look like a suit with a tie etc. and your shield into a briefcase or something. Would be quite hilarious though very unfitting in the game's setting. |
