Raging fire : Support gem / Linked spell(or attack) cannot crit. If the target is under the ignite condition, the linked spell(or attack) fire damage is increased by 100% [Created by Reddart]

Put whatever seems balanced instead of 100%, the idea is to massively increase ignite usefulness (which is pretty shitty compared to the cold or lightning crit effects) while not having ignite+dmg while using the same skill (and thus not being a totally overpowered all-in-one skill since it require another skill applying ignite to get the damage increase).
Only the fire damage part of that spell is doubled of course.




Elemental Hazard : Skill gem, melee, require a shield / 100% weapon dmg to one target, if you crit, the target get ignited,shocked,frozen during X seconds. If you crit while the target is under any one of ignite or shock or frozen status, that status is applied to you. [Created by Reddart]

Why shield ? because I think shield builds don't get the love they deserve (in softcore at least).
Why the downside ? because applying all the status effects with one crit seems too powerful...but a lot more dangerous if you get hit back with 1/2/3 status effect -> you cannot mindlessly spam this skill (which is good).
X seconds being whatever seems balanced.

What do you think ?

Nope I don't. Didn't knew something similar existed.
But I really want fire spells to be useful >< (or at least on par with cold....lightning is another story)

Raging fire : Linked spell(or attack) cannot crit and do 50% less damage vs non-burning targets. If the target is under the ignite condition, the linked spell(or attack) fire damage get 100% chance to do a critical hit [Created by Reddart]

Are not the same (not talking about the 50% less damage), but my version isn't a guaranted crit , that would be WAY too powerful, since having 100% chance to deal a crit means you can just spam that skill to re-apply the ignite effect AND get more dmg than a static 100% increase with some global crit multiplier passive.

I want fire spells to be powerful but not massively OP :D

And yes, Searing staff is godlike, too bad the fire skills aren't.

youre right... i always forget thats today's arpg have crit multiplier... in my head its D2 system that crit =200% dmg or +100%

is it ok that way? -50% non-burning to counterpart the 100% burning. so you dont 1 shot but pretty much surely 2 shot(if ignite, which can be easy to get with Ignite support and nodes)
