lol you like totems, dont you know they are already considered overpowered? and giving them the ability to move, you remove the purpose of totem and the difference between totem and summons :P
what you propose is pretty much more like regular summons in a totemic dynamic
what i would do is

combine the main idea behind them into a support gem that :
"

Animation Aquisition: Support gem that links a Summon skill to a combat skill (no spells)

so you can have zombies doing cleave or leap slam or ground slam

Note: I would remove totems ability to use Bow skillz and give that ability to a New summon type (which can be Like Terra Cota archer that is mentionned higher in summons category)


Im not sure why you would remove the existing totems. The mana costs would obvius be way higher for a moving "totem" than a static one. And why no moving "totem" for spells ? im sure there will come more spells that are close range like shock nova.

Maybe we should just call them Skeleton Fighter, Skeleton Archer and Skeleton Mage instead ?

in the logic a totem is not suppose to move...
all i want is to keep it logical and create a diversity and meanwhile, create specialisation... so far totem are almost player's clone that do the player's job instead of him

Maybe there should be 2 different categories for these support gems (so there will be 6 support gems). Ones classified as totems and the other ones classified as minions, because totems and minions builds are very different in the passive tree.


Minion Figter
Minion Archer
Minion Mage

Number, life etc. can be increased like the others in the passive tree

X Fighter
X Archer
X Mage

Dunno what the name should be for these "totems" so i called it X.
Increase the number up to 2 in the passive tree (same nodes as normal totems), Counts as a totem.
"Charge" red skill gem

"High kick" (unarmed green skill gem)



Sonic Boom (Red Gem):

X% Physical damage.
2 handed axe/sword only

A swing so Powerful that compresses the air and sends a shockwave in a cone in front of the character. Enemies have a chance of catching a concussion, slowing them down by X over Y seconds.
Acts as projectile.

Loud bassy boom for sound, and transparent distortion air blade for effect. With a highway mirage like refraction aftereffect.

Here's some ideas:

Acid Spray (Spell)
Chaos Damage + Defense Debuff

Uncanny Ooze (Spell)
Heal & Damage a target (any target, enemy or friend)
Damage is Physical and Based on Strength
Healing is based on Intelligence

Corruption (Spell or Projectile Attack)
Chaos Damage + "Corruption" De-buff
(The Corruption De-buff could act as a Curse and be used for something else, for example:)

Proliferation (Spell)
All enemies with a "Corruption" De-buff release an explosion, dealing Chaos damage around them.

Apportation (Melee)
Teleports a target enemy to you and attack it with a melee strike.

Nightmare Zone (Spell)
An Are becomes covered with black/purple waves of energy.
Enemies takes small Chaos damage while in the Area.
Enemies in the Area stop sharing their auras with others (Radius of Aura becomes 0).

Death Cloud (Spell)
All the Corpse in an Area are consumed instantly.
This creates a black Cloud in the middle of that Area that deals damage (type could be Chaos, Physical, Fire...) to EVERYONE including players) based on the amount of hp accumulated from the Corpses (a % of it).

Restoration (spell)
Heal all Minions.

Special-Trigger Traps
Here's a general idea for Traps.
There could be some Traps that work with a Triggered Event (other that activating them manually or someone walking on them). For example, there could be some kind of "Mage Trap" That triggers when an enemy cast a Spell. Or maybe an "Projectile Trap" that fire back at someone using projectiles against you. With this in mind, many traps could be made for specific situations, they could even to something different than damage (for example, a trap that triggers when you or a party member become frozen, and UN-freeze the player).

Haha thats allot, im currently studying and cant file all these spells for now, wether you wait till tommorow or add them to the list by yourself keeping the same format, ill just copy/paste and edit to the main
