With the flasks, it does help a bit. I am constantly healing my minions via hybrid flasks. Without the flasks, they probably would die a bit more. I can summon them pretty quick though, so it doesn't matter much.

Would Minion Instability be a good pick if they die on a regular basis? Especially for situations where spamming skeletons vs. AoEs is neccessary.

And it would only be one passive point, you're already there.
I have seen that in your latest passive tree you only took 1 batch of Minion boosting nodes, and that a lot of nodes you used is about casting speed. Did you had a problem about your casting speed or what was the reason you took those instead of buffing up our minions?

the other thing is the curses. it seems to me from the video that you dont cast too many curses, mostly just one. do you think this build would be ok without going for the curses branch on the top of the tree?

oh and if you can please comment on my previous question about starting spells, and generally a starting strategy.

thanks a lot mate

the reason for taking casting speed nodes is that when you take 2 totems your casting speed is reduced and on top of that you cant cast spells by urself thus you need fast casting speed to summon zombies and summon totems. Default totem summoning speed is so slow that by the time you will cast, mobs will be hugging and kissing you.
What exactly is the point of casting spark when you have Ancestral Bond? Status effects through support gems, shock from Static Blows (if that works with Ancestral Bond negating damage), or something else?

Also, when leveling, did you grab Ancestral Bond as soon as you had access to Spell Totem or wait for some other key point?

Traps are not effected by Ancestral Bonds, I do 50% more damage with remote traps. So, I can basically by pass the ancestral bond nullification of damage.

Spark was the only spell I had lvled up, atm. I am using lightning warp remote traps now which can potentially do around 12k lightning damage aoe, a via shotgun burst.

Honestly, I am thinking of using remote traps+GMP+fireball+Faster projectile instead, which in theory I think will do a ton of shotgun aoe damage. Arc as a self cast is pretty worthless for traps because it will only hit 1 target.

what skills would you start the character?
since I see that the lightning nodes comes first you would want to go lightning arrow or spark or something?

a the very beginnning (lvl 8) I use a couple of zombies, freezing pulse and detonate dead (which is really fun :))

To lvl up use spark+fork+faster casts without totems. Later on use spell totem+skeletons to solo bosses. This will take you to A3 merci very easily.

You can, its a really great and strong skill. But... I personally do not like the spell because it is bugged. Quest drops and MF don't work with it.

Once I get trap gem, I will use lightning warp as my main attack.

Can you elaborate on how the trap gem will fit into your build?
THis requires 2x the same gems right? in order to be able to use 2 totems with the same spell?
