" Thank you for your feedback and support for the idea, Milani. :- D Some great ideas on your prior post, too. I wonder what could be done about flavor text... After all, Exquisite items are randomized... I really like the "can only wear one" idea. If the mods rolled were closer to itemlevel (as per my original idea, which makes it more powerful, no doubt), the limit would be more adequate. - - - About changing the Exquisite name: sure, any ideas are welcome. I don't know if Legendary is good, since it can be confused with that other game (not that I care about it, but some people might). Some naming ideas to possibly replace Exquisite: EXTRAVAGANT, EXTRAORDINARY, MYSTICAL, MAGNIFICENT. Here since Closed Beta. Never found a Mirror. Still love PoE. :- )

My 2 cents...
A lot of people seem to think that when an exquisite item drops it's always going to be amazing. I find 100's of rares that are garbage and only worth vendoring. Now considering that this new item type has the potential to roll every mod in the game on any item means that most of them are going to be strange. Like a 2h sword with spell damage, spell crit, increased physical damage, + to evasion, +% increased armor, and +rarity all of which happened to roll in the low-mid range, with maybe 1 high range roll. Considering the fact that you can't reroll them you need to get EXTREMELY lucky to find an outstanding item, even though it always rolls with max prefixes/suffixes. I just wanted to throw that into this discussion. I think the idea is good, its just that most of these item types will be garbage even though you can roll 6 affixes of any item type. Thus the drawback is that they are hard to find and un-craftable. It adds an element to the game where if you get super lucky you can find a wicked sick item. It should contain sockets and I don't think negative stats or drawbacks are needed. When designing something, think about simplicity and how easily it is to implement. Having negative drawbacks means more coding negative stats and such. Whereas if the items are just extra rare items that can roll ANY affix then it's much easier. The main focus on this is super-rare items that you need to get super-lucky to get a good item, and they are uncraftable besides divines, jewelers, fusing and such. I think it is a good idea and they should be about as rare as unique items. You might even roll an exquisite item on a level 32 1h-sword. That's not much more than a twink item if it happens to roll nicely. They should probably vendor for a decent amount since that is probably what will be happening. i like new stuff, but this won't easily see the light since its not needed. You don't need a different color to distinguish a really rare item by a yellow named item that suck, you can easily get the difference by yourself.
