Elites with crit: A no no

Yeah, armor sucks in such cases... At least evasion sucks too.
16000 armor is not high considering you're using a granite flask...

Shouldn't you have any armor bonuses? Or at least roll an Iron Skin suffix on your flask...
It's not a poor game design. It's your poor planning.
700 Hp is a joke . Your build maybe good at fighting critters tho.
When you hit the wall, you have to rethink what went wrong.
Either you farm lower content untill you completely overpower the situation
Or simply reroll.
It's part of what makes the game fun.
If you can't enjoy that, then this isn't the game for you.
If you want to faceroll everything or everything to be handed to you.
I suggest Diablo 3 or world of warcraft. Both are great game.
Diablo 3 is a blast to pwn enemies. And wow has lot of epic gears for everyone.
I play both of em and having a great time.

I totally agree with this. 700 HP at that point won't cut it. I'm 29 now and I've already come about 6/7ths of the way for that much health. Sometimes all builds run into walls now and then. Case in point - my weapon was kind of crap at the end of act 1 even though I obliterated Merveil without dying. The next thing I ran into was a monkey in act 2 who regen'd faster than I could hurt him, no matter how fast I was hitting him. I go sword and board, so that was kind of a pickle. I was able to ditch this boss in a corner while I found a solution - a rare sledgehammer that did an order of magnitude in increased damage. He went down quickly after.

Sometimes we have to plan for what is called "shit happens." Being a beta, I seriously think that it will take a long haul for the whole thing to be balanced right on the combat triangle of melee vs. ranged vs. magic. Balance is a tenuous thing at best in beta play. Just my two cents in.

He has 700 Life? bro I never fight oversoul on my summon witches without AT LEAST 400 hp and 300 ES on NORMAL. stop stacking armor and stack life. The only thing that is valid about this thread is that armor kind of sucks and life is kind of OP.

My HP being too low is valid, but if you expect anyone other than hardcore fans to actually reroll their character when the build doesn't work out, you are out of your mind. If that is what is actually required, then this game won't last long.
Oh great another doomsdayer.

Listen, the whole point is for you to reroll if you completely wreck your build. Not for you to be able to change things at will.

Learn from your mistakes and try again. Welcome to Wraeclast, welcome to life.
It takes you what, 2 weeks to get to level 35 or so max?

How many people do you know who did the same thing in D2 and D2X before skill respecs came back to the fore?

It then boils down to personal choice - if one has played D2X before, and has rerolled a char before, and then thinks that PoE's system is dumb because it prevents easy rerolling, they need to set themselves straight.

If people don't want to play anymore, it's no skin off of GGG's back either way, since this game will be totally F2P save for whatever money the players throw in via microtransactions and point purchase. Less lag for those who do stay.

I just can't believe this.

DIDYOUKNOWgamingfact:
A-RPG are based around re-rolling multiple toons to enjoy different builds.
DIDYOUKNOWreallifefacts:
If you wear a thick armor, you won't even notice small hits; howerer, if something huge like a cannon blast hits you, you are gonna die anyway, because the hurt is gonna pass througt the armor, killing you. You will die by the "shock" of "force" wich dealt the hit, not the hit itself.
Thats why high armour is good vs low damage and not high damage.
DIDYOUKNOWGGGfact:
GGG, while doing a dark-fantasy game, is trying to make it as realistic as possible.

I really don't understand people QQing over armor. Armor protects from the primary effect of the hit, but not from the force wich dealt it.
It works just fine. If you want a non-realist armor, then add a keystone like "Second skin" wich boosts your life by your armor, or make it protect against big hits or I don't fucking know.

p.s.: to get to 35 its 3 hours. Maybe.
If it's your first toon is an other business.

If D2 was released today, with improved graphics, but with the same mechanics, nobody would play it. Sure, it was good for its time, in general though, its an awful game. People convince themselves with nostalgia driven delusions that it was the best game ever made, and had absolutely no problems.

Your last paragraph is mind boggling. If you actually think the developers are just like "oh well people are leaving, who cares lol" then you must be retarded. A F2P microtransaction driven game is dead in the water without a sizeable population. They would actually be better off with a pay 2 win model, because at least then some people would put cash in to stomp the few other players that existed. Who is going to pay for aesthetic improvements if there's nobody around to see it though?
