THERE IS NO REASON WHY POE shouldn't have a CASUAL league
If peaople are scared by the difficulty they should play an easier game, simple as that.
Why do you want to make PoE a game that it is not is beyond me. |

" Sorry but that's a complete crock. I guess good gear is subjective...if you think the stuff people bother spamming in trade chat for 1 alch is good stuff, you miss the big picture. 2h's with less dps than most 1h's isn't what I call good gear. Jewlery with random, mishmash low roll affixes isn't what I call good gear. Chests with 120 ES isn't what I call good gear. 1h's with 60-120 dps and 1.2 attack speed isn't what I call good gear. Glad to clear that up, but then of course you'll no doubt respond with how you commonly find awesome phat loot. Which is completely contrary to my experience. " There is nothing "difficult" about wearing appropriate gear, and killing everything in a second or 2. Really, that's all this genre is about. Please don't pretend it's "difficult" that word is being thrown around and I can't figure out why. It's out of context for sure. I'm slowly progressing my self,my main melee character is currently 20k dps, 10 APS, 8500 armor, 75/75/75-20. There is NOTHING "difficult"about the game. You grind for gear, then face roll everything and loot what they drop. My beef is the terrible drops, not the "difficulty" which does not exist. My beef is the predictability in saving up currency to buy your gear, all the while vendering everything which is absolute crap. All the uniques are those ridiculous low level 1 alch things, and the rares are all badly itemized alch shard/alt shard fodder. Booooooring. Then there's the flippers. It's lame enough saving up currency, but these people artificially inflate the economy. If exalt stabilized at 100 chaos per, they'd ask 101 and pocket a chaos. Then everyone goes "derp! O look, exalts are now "worth" 101" It's retarded. It doesn't end. Then there's the botters making the above artificial inflation even worse. " If that happens then some other person will request casual casual casual league, there is no stop for making the game easy and is a bad idea in the first place. If someone thinks current standard is difficult in someway, should definitely consider playing a different game. It's apparent that PoE is not for that specific person. The idea of a casual league is a bit silly.
People play games specifically for the challenge. Facerolling content under a shower of loot drops just mocks those that are trying to enjoy the challenge. The game already has an easy mode - it's called partying and trading. Moreover, easymode is generally used in games as an introductory training programme for new players. You could have an easymode and call it a training programme, but having a league is a bit silly. |

"' how exactly would a casual league 'mock' you? The economy is entirely separate and you could look at it as praise; players who dont have the time trying to be as awesome as you in an easier league. People do play for challenge, but people also play JUST for fun and to relax. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

" You guys just don't get it.... I face roll content. It's not a challenge. The point is, I'm doing it in gear I bought, not with gear I find. THIS GAME IS NOT HARD. Stop using the words "hard" "difficult" and "challenge". "facerolling content under a shower of loot drops" is precisely what the genre is about. But you should be able to find plenty of fun, interesting and powerful loot, and not be forced to buy ALL of it. Every single thing My main is wearing, I bought with currency. |

Support self found league not casual/easy league.
Big difference between those two. And yes I agree that the word difficulty is subjective. Is it difficult to grind for months to find good loot? Honestly its more tedious and not as much difficult, now whether or not thats good for the game or bad is up for debate. A self found league would also be tedious in some ways but people don't care because they find it more fun to FIND their loot instead of TRADE for it. Standard Forever

Yeah, I don't get the difficulty either. This game isn't difficult. It just has random damage spikes that kill you or desync that makes it unlikely to reach higher levels but not difficult. You could farm docks for a very, very long time with zero risk and you'd get there eventually. Maybe people call the game difficult to feel better about themselves while they play their life away? As if the challenge is something to feel proud about?
Seems kinda sad. But that's people for ya :) Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right. |

So remove/nerf magic find mods then give you free, passive huge magic find mods? Oh my god this is too much, lol.
I'm not against additional leagues but a league where inflation is even more rampant than in standard league doesn't seem worth adding. Self-found league would be awesome, though. Last edited by Xelios#1088 on Aug 29, 2013, 7:08:42 AM

In my opinion there are two types of players:
• The first type will focus on a smaller number of characters and level and gear them extremely well. This can take a VERY long time depending on your personal goal for a character. • The second type wants to build new characters and try new skills/builds. Those players have a number of leveled characters they 'abandoned' once it became too tedious to progress and find gear upgrades. I belong into the 2nd group. I have several characters in the lvl 66-70 range. Every time I kill merciless Piety I feel like my character is 'done'. Grinding for endgame gear becomes tedious and boring soon. I don't want to run Docks or Lunaris a couple of hundred times. I don't want to care about keeping a supply of maps going. I rather start a new character and try a new build although I'm not pleased to send a half-geared character into a 'parking position'. This is where I feel the recent changes to life nodes and resists where not to my liking. Your defenses are now way more gear dependant. And grinding high level gear is just monotonous. Crafting and trading are just frustrating in their current state. To get be back to playing PoE regularly GGG would have to add more areas to farm end game gear. (Offer lvl 68 version of all Merciless areas. Ctrl+Click menu should offer an 'elite' version of the area or something.) PoE needs better social features... and more cats!
