People want firm prices. Rather than understand ratios are different at different points (like CB ended it was 6 gcps to 1 exalt, a few weeks into OB exalts went down to 5 and for a short point 4 gcps before skyrocketing).

I'm not being rhetorical; I've asked myself the same questions and the answers I found were very important.

We all knew OB would be the death of so many things we loved about PoE during its CB period, but here we are.

Its a very valid point Charan,im also in a similar situation where i really,really enjoyed CB but since OB started things just weren't the same anymore.Tried quitting but couldn't,came back eventually since i really like the game and GGG as a game developer.But at the same time i feel like Act 3 has done much worse than it did good.
Sure all the new content is great (areas,maps,uniques...) but at the same time the overall balance is a mess (not to mention the community) and is in no way as it used to be.

Open beta was blessing and a curse.

Actually, a non botter can acquire that many alchs, its just mind numbingly boring. Further, this just proves my point that the VAST majority of players don't want these exalts to use them. No, they want them for their trade utility, thus their high price.

Actually it is all the RMT guys botting normal ledge and mud flats.
If they run 5 bots and earn 1200 alchs every 24 hours and trade for exalts and 200:1 they can make a good amount of money by selling the exalts for 30$.

Paying 200alch an exalt ensures that no one will want to hold onto exalts and that the only people getting them will be the ones buying them for 200 alchs or 30$.

Well good luck in convincing all the people not to sell their exalteds for 200 alchs each. While your at it go ahead and convince all the pay-to-win kids that dual-wielding credit cards isn't cool.

That's the other thing. We assume it's happening but rather than taking any blame we assume it's a much larger problem than it is.

It's safe to assume that is someone is paying grossly over the going ratios than it's probably not a real person on the other end. If you sell to them you are perpetuating the thing you are complaining about. I can go downtown and buy a new iphone for $50, it's obviously stolen, if I do it I can't complain about the stealing problems in my community. Regardless of how good of a deal you are getting, if you support the problem, you are the problem.

High level and even mid level orbs are to rare and the vendor recipes make you feel like you are getting ripped off hard. One divine for a 6 link wtf, there should also be many more recipes for uniques, too many low level uniques go unused, limb split anyone?

Is limb split the 2h axe with culling? That thing is great. Multistrike + flicker away!!!
