Anarch economy is already even worse than SC economy

"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
I just began adding all the overpayers to my friends list to check their levels.
They are all level 25-30 but I'm just making assumptions with no proof lol. What level 27 has 150+fusings for every exalt you sell them? an obvious botter.

Edit: Just added another botter named fasraw on Anarchy. He offers 140 fusings and 200 chromatics per exalt you sell him. He is level 27. I'm just pulling this out of my butthole though...

Honestly i dont get what the issue is here. You can play without ever trading, its not like trading is a necessity in this game.

That's something I don't get as well. Why is trading so important for some people? Because the streamers use Über gear they get from donations or no-lfe farming?

But night by night he woke with frighten'd roars
from darkest dreams, too strange to comprehend.

I am lvl 79 now.
If it weren't for trading I'd still be using the same gear I got since level 10-40.

Having powerful gear is a common goal for not just many PoE players, but for many players of the ARPG genre. When the game is fundamentally imbalanced toward trading as the primary mode for acquiring the most powerful gear, as PoE unfortunately is, it tends to preclude what amounts to actually playing the game - going out and murdering thousands upon thousands of mooks, true to ARPG form.

Coupled with the battered and abused economy, many players feel very frustrated because in order to play an ARPG, they must diverge from the features of ARPGs that they enjoyed, namely the hack-n-slash gameplay.

Actually it is all the RMT guys botting normal ledge and mud flats.
If they run 5 bots and earn 1200 alchs every 24 hours and trade for exalts and 200:1 they can make a good amount of money by selling the exalts for 30$.

Paying 200alch an exalt ensures that no one will want to hold onto exalts and that the only people getting them will be the ones buying them for 200 alchs or 30$.

Sooooo the problem isn't that players are using whacked ratios it's that players are selling to RMT sites?

You guys realize it's the players that are the problem regardless right?

Why can't it be the games fault every now and again?

Players buying shit for RL $$ is the symptom not the cause if it happens in large enough quantities. On that note...you'll probably never get rid of RMT 100% unless you idk BOP everything + prevent the sale of accounts.

In most games I played the fight with RMT is a lot like western medicine...fight the symptoms; oh you have a headache, here some painkillers...they don't work...here take moar and moar. If you whine enough then maybe they send you to CT scan and find the real cause. Devs usually work to ban/make life harder RMT-ers (often detrimental for legit players) and not work towards making such a game that players would have no need to buy stuff for RL $$.

As Slayer said, exalts have most of their precieved value as currency and not as a crafting orb. How hard would it be to fix this? Not rly. But then again, those kind of changes would probably mean ppl crying "game too easy, scrubs gtfo".

Sodomee Please stop talking about things with 0 proof, or even evidence. People trade for exalts daily. You act like every single trade for an exalt is for a RMT site.

You are not realizing that a lot of people pay $ for exalts because RMT sites controls the market. When people see that exalted orbs are the only thing that do not devalue, they begin accepting only pure exalts for their high end items. Where do you think most people get their 5-20 exalts that they pay for high end gear?

I got about 50-60 exalts from trading, and any exalted in the economy got there by dropping.
As you said yourself, "they begin accepting only pure exalts", and this applies to anyone that trades anything.
I will also add that i have never found an exalt EVER in almost 2 years now, even though i played quite a lot, so thats the main reason why they dont devalue, they are the rarest orb in the game bar the mirror.

And no, im not selling them for alchs or chaos or whatever, why would i.
Those small orbs depreciate in value, and i have no use for them in such huge quantities.
Someone that has that many exalts laying around will keep on to them, except if he specifically bought them with $ in order to buy himself gear.
This is the reason why they (exalts) will keep rising in value. People like me would never sell them for other orbs, so the demand keeps rising while the people that have the exalts still arent selling.

With that in mind you must come to the conclusion that the only way to properly make a game is to actually focus on how the game is played and ignore the economy all together.

You have to understand that if crafting is good nobody will bother with trading. Therefore trading must be better in order to make people want to trade. Well then the problem becomes that the currency is the same exact thing used for trading.

Exalted orbs are just ruining the way all other orbs work in fact. The new orb actually caters to that as well.

The issue is that there is no currency sink in softcore modes. The only thing left to do is grind max content, Hope you don't die a lot and put everything you find towards creating a great item. Fact of the matter is that the alteration,Regal then exalted orb is the best method to roll amazing gear. Not to mention the new eternal orb basically made it so you can save each good mod while trashing the bad ones.

Once again forget about softcore modes... No currency sink is a huge reason alone. Not to mention the rush you get from almost dying in hardcore is great enough to make dying actually worth it. So you can't get to end game without dying? Well you are building your character wrong then.

In hardcore you can't just simply roll a yellow map and find out if you can do it... People don't load up in mass magic finding gear and then get insane drops. Hardcore mode puts survival first and finding items second, like it should be.
What are you all bitching about? You think you are going to discover new economics above people who won nobel prices? For a free to play game this is as good as it gets, and the economy is still decent! If GGG say they don't have the means to handle the botters, we have to live with it or quit.
