Its self explantory. You didn't support other forms of death penalty, you just complained that this game has one in default at all. Heck you said it earlier in this thread that there shouldn't be a death penalty. If you don't believe it then don't say it.

Personally I hate WoW and other similar MMOs. I want PoE to borrow nothing from those games.

Grouping with people is not exclusive to MMOs, there have been grouping options in just about every single player ARPG, and all of those used fully FFA loot. The idea was that you played the game solo, or made your own groups with people you already knew.

Expecting to play in entirely random pugs in a game like this and not getting any loot 'ninjad' is like going into a shop, dropping a $50 note and leaving it, and expecting that no one would ever take it.

Reading it would be all that's required, I never said you had to post in it, but your assumption that there hasn't been any 'down talking' of players that enjoy FFA loot is proven 100% incorrect in that thread.

Uh you didn't ask me to do anything. You told me that I missed another thread and then tried to tell me I had bad reading skill because of it? What the hell?

What I was trying to get you to understand is that the arguing is only going on because FFA people think there should be no other options for players who hate pvp looting in public games. So anti FFA people such as myself have no reason to talk down to people who enjoy FFA. We don't give a crap if you like FFA. We WANT you to have it. There is no reason for us to put you down for enjoying it. Thats stupid.

At least in real life I can punch the dude's lights out and take his wallet, and heck, even his clothes. Imagine PoE if that was implemented. Then I wouldn't be so pissed off that someone stood in front of some loot so that collision would prevent me from picking something up.

That's entirely correct that there shouldn't be any other options.

If you play in a group, you aren't automatically entitled to any of the loot that drops. FFA encourages you to actually plan ahead with which players are looking for what gear and ask if someone picks up something that you could use. If you play with friends then this will never be an issue. Even in random pugs, I've regularly asked for people to link stuff they pick up that I could use, and most had no problem with letting me have it, or trading any random yellow item that I didn't need for it.

What you people want is a 'loot dropped in public groups should belong to me' approach. As I very clearly said, in a game like this you should ALWAYS be farming your own loot solo. Groups are simply a convenience in this game to clear areas or grind XP faster.

I see no reason that this should be the case. That discourages grouping which I feel is bad for the game.

Side note: You know... as pointed out earlier GGG hasn't responded to this issue at all really. I'll just assume they are going to do absolutely nothing about this issue until they suspect it is an issue.

Maybe I should just take a break for a couple weeks/months. The game is fun, but after thinking long and hard this game has quite a few issues. I could play something else and come back.
