I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]
I'm over from D3 as well. Shocking how they had 12 years and a monster franchise to work with and that "game" is the best they could come up with.

downloading POE now! I gave em 15 bucks. would give more but money is tight. this game looks fantastic and you can really see the love from the devs for what they are doing.
This is what a gaming company SHOULD be! |

" This! One of the biggest reasons I liked D1 and D2 was the exploration and the chance to find something great. Explore every little nook and cranny in those dungeons. When I explored that thoroughly I was rewarded (or sometimes killed if I happened to walk around the corner and find a mini-boss =D. That was back in the days when mini-bosses did not have predictable arenas.). In D3 the drop rate for decent items feels terrible compared to D2. On D2 I can remember numerous times finding set and unique items, at least a couple, on a single play-through of Normal with one character. On D3, after spending a huge number hours of hoping to find something for one of my characters, it starts to feel like drudgery. Add on the fact that barrels and other breakables are now worthless and MF does not apply to chests?! Exploring? Meh. Anyway PoE is downloading now. This game sure looks promising to me. Enough so that I figured it was worth donating to and giving a try. From what I have read, seen, and watched, the mechanics look amazing. |

" Wow! Just joined, one forum post, and already donated at the gold level! That's awesome that the game has already made that big of an impact on you! TehHammer is not a crime!

Should be going gold in about a week myself. But yeah D3 was garbage. Blizzard has lost a lot of valuable customers with that pile of trash.
I don't hand out keys to beggars. Its $10 bucks for one.....go mow a lawn or something.

Utterly dissapointed with D3, wish I could get a refund for it. That's all you need to know.
However, still playing it, since there aren't any alternatives in the genre on the market currently, and the game isn't completely unplayable. Yet. And I did pay 60 Euros for that piece of crap, so I might as well stick around and compensate some of the money through RMAH. |

" It might be that he is more revolted by D3, than mesmerized with PoE, and acted impulsively on the feeling. :) |

" Just decided to after lots of reading and research. Figured it was worth the risk. The only other projects I have donated (purchased their pre-sale specials) to was Blender open movie projects Durian and Mango (Mango is their current project). That's because I use Blender and those projects help drive improvement of it. PoE appears to be going in a direction I like. As a fan of ARPGs and especially exploration and loot, I figured "why not?". |

Me too. I really tried to like it. I mean really tried. Oh well, I've wasted 60 bucks on far worst games. Should of just saved for this game and torchlight.
