Welcome, guys. It's amazing how badly out of touch with the community blizzard has become in the name of greed. Luckily we have some good alternatives, PoE being the best IMHO.

Edit: The graphics are so much better in this game than d3. I always wondered why blizzard decided to go with the "I just smeared Vaseline all over my monitor" look, as I like to call it.

Yup, me too. Spent the $10 and I'am downloading the client here at work. I was hoping for so much more out of D3 after all the great times my friends and I had in D2.

I was also a long time blizzard man well that was till blizzard put out the bs D3 i am done with all blizzard games now looking for a new home, I can say that this game looks very promising looking forward to seeing you all in game once i get a beta key. If not ill defiantly see you all in OB.

When I get home (after a quick work out), I'm going to write down all of your names and add you in game. So if you get a weird invite, it's me. We need to join up and discuss our sorrows and aid each other to overcome our grief. After all, the more exiles the better!

I for one would much rather you discuss your sorrows here than in the Global Chat. No topic illicits more groans, troll responses and general disbelief in the global chat for a game that clearly is attracting malcontents from That Other Game...than That Other Game they're there to avoid. There is virtually nothing anyone can say in Global Chat about That Other Game that hasn't been said before many times. I firmly believe that.

But please do party-up and get to know each other in-game! Wraeclast is a mean place, and you'll want people you can trust at your side, and who have your back.

Pro-tip, don't talk about D3 in global chat, and if you hear someone talk about D3, just say one time "Shut up about D3 already and enjoy THIS game"

You'll make friends right away.

For the sake of clarity and to avoid multiple threads on the same topic, it would be best that people who are coming here from D3 and want to discuss the situation use this thread.

We'll be locking/moving to Off-topic threads of a similar nature. Nothing vindictive, just convenient and neat.

I am also a transplant from Diablo 3, I found it to be bland and was very happy to get out of my annual contract with blizzard 6 months early ( but for some reason they insisted I keep D3 for free)

I had seen posts about PoE on blizzards forums and it looks amazing, I wish I had known about it so I could have participated in the Open beta weekend. From what I can see though this game seems to be what I was looking for in D3.

Look forward to playing with you guys and gals in the future.
