Welcome home, Exiles. I understand your issues -- who here wasn't somehow hoping D3 would be as great as D2 or D1?

I would ask just one small favour: if you want to discuss Diablo 3, to really have a complaint and a group rage session, please make a thread about it in the Off-Topic board rather than doing so in the in-game chat. You might not be surprised to find out that many newcomers (and I'm still new myself, only been here since March!) have very passionate feelings about D3, and mere mention of it in-game turns the Global Chat into a real mess.

I'd like to believe most of us are here to get away from D3, or That Other Game as I refer to it in-chat if I have to refer to it at all. I think Path of Exile has one of the finest communities I've ever seen for an online game, but its achilles heel, if you will, is definitely That Other Game.

This is just a request, not a demand or rule. A call for consideration. Path of Exile is doing its own thing, and seeing That Other Game discussed in-game almost incessantly feels almost disrespectful to the hard work Grinding Gear Games have put in to make their game unique and worthy on its own terms.

A large portion of my childhood, and high school years, were dedicated to Diablo 1 and 2. I got both games when they first came out. Honestly, this is the first time i've ever been disappointed in a Blizzard game before.

I put down my $10 for PoE back in April, just haven't had a chance to actually play until now.

\can we pretend that Diablo 3 was never released? I have fond memories of Diablo 1 and two D3 is just bad.

Can't wait for Torchlight 2.

I'm JUST about to play here just installing at home now. We should all friend up in game or something guys! If there is such an option yet. (Again, I haven't played yet) I've really been doing my research and been browsing this site all day and I'm nothing but impressed so far. Can't wait!

I was fed by Blizzard's bs for some time, and finally, when Diablo 3 was out, my brain said: Don't buy, it's gonna be bs, but my heart said: You have to buy it, that's DIABLO. So there you go, the heart won, and when I think about it now, I could have donated a 100$ to GGG.

If I throw my money through the window instead of buying D3, it would be much better spent... Epic BS. And how I waited for it... Makes me sad.

Thanks for the welcome from that other game to a new home and new beginning. Like alot of others before me I to am an exile from D3 and hope to be playing here soon. Have Loved everything so far that I have Browsed over the site; and looked at the skill screen is just awesome and out of sight. the game in and of it self looks really great from the videos' that I have wacthed so far
and I for one am Glad to have spent money to help support a game that is for gamers' to have fun in and not pay to win in. Again thank you for the welcome

Same here, man. Diablo 3 was a huge disappoint. They were greedy and designed the game around the auction house with horrible itemization. I'm ready for a new, killer ARPG, and Path of Exile looks like it will answer that call.
