My experience with DIABLO III. (Stay awhile and listen..)

Sickness, I do agree with most of your points. However I did not see one piece of viable Wizard gear in A1 Inferno. In fact I have found one piece of gear that my wizzy uses in ALL of the time played on it.... Now all this doesn't really matter as Im just getting bots going now anyway... yeehaa

Then you have not farmed enough. You can do A2 with A1 gear and A3 with A2 gear. Maybe just not after only a couple of days of farming. Give it a month per act, at least.

Just because a game isn't impossible without it doesn't mean that players aren't pushed to either use it or put themselves at a significant disadvantage.

I have to wonder how much consumer goodwill Blizzivision has squandered to make millions on D3? The current batch of execs will probably have moved along by the time another (unique) Diablo title comes down the pike. Almost certainly a significant portion of their target audience will have churned; perhaps those are two reasons they're unconcerned. ='[.]'=

I popped my copy of Diablo 1 in my windows 7 laptop the other day and amazingly, it worked. It sucks for the people that bought D3 that this probably won't be the case for that game, unless blizzard plans on keeping those servers up for a loooooong time.

I have a feeling that when the cash auction house isn't economically viable anymore, they'll pull the plug.

I had to do some 'fixes' to get D1 to run on my Win 7 machine (create a macro to close windows explorer prior to launching the game), but my god that game was fun. I also setup UDP LAN connectivity on it so I could play with my roommate, awesome!

You are probably right about Blizz pulling the plug when RMAH transactions decline to a certain level, that is sad. To think that we wouldn't be able to play the game at all if this did happen is really stupid. I guess this is the biggest reason a lot of people were upset about the lack of offline modes.

lol just kidding you. My brother actually loves it too. I think it's probably a good game, as long as you play it through single player a few times and stop. However if you're looking at it like the hardcore diablo 1 and 2 players and plan to play it for months and even years...i'm not so sure it can survive its own "features" for that long.

I still have Diablo 1 *ahemed* onto my PSP. It plays surprisingly well. Terrible port, but...playable.

Wait and see what they do to D3 long term too. Hopefully in 6moths or so it'll be a better game in some ways.
