My experience with DIABLO III. (Stay awhile and listen..)

That is just like any other game where trading is possible. Including D2.

Are you intentionally leaving out the fact that drop rates were different in D2 because the methods of acquiring items were different (meaning: No AH)?

So, no, it's not like other games where trading is possible.

Then you have not farmed enough. You can do A2 with A1 gear and A3 with A2 gear. Maybe just not after only a couple of days of farming. Give it a month per act, atleast.

Then don't farm. That doesn't mean you must use the AH to make progress.

One month of farming per act, at least?! Are you kidding me?
Thanks for that statement, that clarified for me that we will never see eye to eye on the matter of what constitutes "acceptable farming" in a game *shudder*.

Clearly, you don't need to consult the AH if you have no problems farming content for one month or longer that can be played through in a matter of hours.

Especially considering how much variety Diablo III offers through their randomization (namely: next to none).

I now see the light. Diablo 3 just is not for persons like me.

This really bothers me. Players wanted Inferno to last months. So Blizzard designed Inferno to last months. Now players are complaining it takes months to complete Inferno.

Also, PoE's grind will probably be much, much longer.
Keyblades!
The crux of this issue is that they did it using multipliers to health and damage. This necessarily forces tier itemization to follow suit and a bunch of problems emerged.

What GGG needs to do is learn from that, and instead of continuing to build up, build out... hard doesn't have to mean huge hp and damage, and in fact, shouldn't.

Given finite content players will have to grind... it's the defining aspect of ARPGs. To that end, the Action must be the centerpiece. If the action isn't difficult, and it's just a gear check the entire way through... then why bother?

Ultimately difficulty boils down to death.. death boils down to damage. Action + damage means that difficult = situations where if you screw up you are likely to take MANY hits resulting in death. This does not imply that you should be taking 1, 2, or even 5 hits resulting in death.

Challenge then lies in having a system where it's normal to take a substantial amount of hits that you can mitigate and avoiding a substantial amount of damage through player skill.

If trading in D2 was not possible then I am sure the drop rates would have been different, or they would have been retarded.

It's funny when you say that on the PoE forums.
Just gonna dump my opinion here:

I didn't like D3. There's something wrong in it.

Carry on arguing
Make an account
Forget about the whole game

You can farm A1 inferno indefinitely to try to upgrade your gear, but when you can go on the AH and buy better upgrades for a couple hundred K what is the point?

I have been farming A1 inferno for over a week. All I get is npc vendor trash. I can maybe make 100k gold from 1 out of 50 rares on the AH.

No, the gears I need on the AH does not cost a couple hundred K. It cost MILLIONS for a single piece of armor! (I play a barb). The value of gold is inflated. When RMAH is out, gold will be worth horse shiet.

I am trying to get a refund now. I pre-ordered the digital copy. Does the 30 days refund policy start from 15May?

I'm sorry, the brevity and directness of this really made me laugh. Thank you. :)
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

A whole week and you didn't get all the shinies??? Poor little guy... Here, have a cookie.
I still like to bash some skulls in D3, but the AH has removed the thrill of the loot hunt. Was hoping for more but it is what it is (insert profound.jpg)
What's the matter Dylan? Government got you pushing too many pencils?
You're posting quite prolifically lately, Sickness. I'm curious how you're juggling that and playing the game you're so eager to defend on another game's board. Care to share? :)
