It's 10 million fansite accounts, not b-net accounts.

Obviously. It's stated that up to 10% are estimated as viable for battle.net use.

Here is a prediction:

D3 after initial sales boom will start losing player base relatively fast as internet explorer loses market share to firefox and chrome. In 2-5 years more people will be actively playing PoE than D3 if GGG keeps releasing expansions and ramp up marketing.

D4, when it is released in 2024, will sell under a million copies.

more likely that will occur when the first of the D3 expansions comes out.

I stayed, I listened (read), I agree.

Diablo 3 is in my books not deserving of the name. Even more it took the name, to take (steal) my money, with false advertising (RAAGEE!!), but what else can one expect from a corporation whose sole purpose are profits, profits, profits.

For this, (and gazzilion more reasons) I adore game studios like GGG, they seem so sincere with their actions, nice community, a felling that developers are actual real honest people,...

Well D3 sucks ass, the climate is changing, POE looks like my new hope for ARPG, I guess not all change is for the worst.
