My experience with DIABLO III. (Stay awhile and listen..)
" I haven't saved any threads yesterday, but: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4551471157 There also was a video up showing a dude duping an axe in the third act... just gotta find it. edit: I don't go looking for those things. A buddy just told me yesterday "He, take a look at the Diablo US forums, it's a hoot!" So I did, and it was chock-full of angry Koreans and "how come this is possible!?" threads regarding those dupes. edit2: found it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxYrO29LCs0 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human. Note that the items will not persist, but they can be vendored / salvaged for infinite mats and gold. Keyblades!

" Noo, you were faster :-D. Afaik it is supposed that the item isn't persistent. But even if it is indeed not: The gold etc. gained from it apparently is. Which probably explains why servers were taken down. But as I said: I really have no expertise in these matters. I generally play the game "as meant by designers". To be honest: I don't really care for trading in games like D3. But wasn't the whole Always-Online shtick implemented to avoid precisely that sort of thing? 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human. How about the hack that allows you to create gold? hehe, game is seriously getting broken now.

I find it amusing that they really thought they would be able to somehow prevent hacks/dupes/bots. They made boasts that D2 was not hackable and we all know how that ended up. Their arrogance in this regard is astounding. I cannot see them actually putting a real money auction house out when people are hacking the hell out of the game, have over a billion gold and infinite crafting materials. The fact that they really thought they could keep the servers secure is hilarious.
They have to realize by now that there are people that are MUCH better at these things than their people... |

Just throwing this out there. edit: Just to be clear on that. The interview states that there are ~10 million accounts compromised. How much did D3 sell? Less than that? Ouch. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human. Last edited by Avireyn#0756 on Jun 11, 2012, 1:46:51 PM

" 10 million Battle.net Accounts compromised. That doesnt mean that all of these acc´s purchased a cd-key for diablo 3. But Battle.net forum definitly has more than 10 mio accounts. Logins are the same. |

" Exactly. All your Blizzard games are connected and accessible through your battle.net account. Which means that if they got the information for WoW, and on that account also is D3, they have access to both. Btw, in other news, they're rolling back the Asia servers. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human.

" Thanks for links, I really didn't expect this to happen this fast after release. It's good that they delayed the RMHA. |
