My experience with DIABLO III. (Stay awhile and listen..)

Everyone on act 2 inferno is forced into a cookie cutter optimal build and is forced to use the auction house to purchase gear that cost millions of gold.

THis is a very common complaint, yes, and people have got their MONEY BACK because of the false promises made my ZctiBliz before launch.

It feels as though the loot in Diablo III is rigged in favour of the auction house.

It feels that way because IT IS. They even admitted to nerfing the hell out of drops, and indeed at what level they drop, to "encourage" people to use the AH.

- Diablo 3 got a score of 89/100 (one point more) on metacritic after 73 critics.

-> I call it a hype, after all... Who will give a bad score for a game from company with such renown...

It's easy to get bashed by people for having other mindset in case of games.

I don't like modern reviews, they lack that not objectivity here... and harshness of judging.

Diablo 2 did it better.

Not that I hate D3, actually enjoying it more than I thought I would. Fact is though D2 did itemization much better. I hate this stupid tiered loot crap, makes any weapon found prior to a3 inferno complete junk basically.

The facts speak for themselves. Diablo 3 set a new record in number of sales and it got better reviews on average. That you don't like it is just your opinion. Facts are facts.

Sales don't mean a thing, if this game is not played after 3 months, it means that it failed, because diablo 2 was played for more than 11 years and is still played. In it current state the game will not live long if blizzard doesn't fix things, because the replay value and loot hunt is really worse than it was in d2.
I know you guys hate Diablo 3 with a passion, but why is it so hard for you to accept that it's a big success? As I said, the facts speak for themselves. You don't like it, and that's fine. But Diablo 3 is a big success, and that's that. There really isn't any point discussing this anymore.

And btw, 'current state'? As I said, Diablo 3 has been out *two weeks*, and you are already calling it a huge failure? I loved Diablo 2 as much as you do, but I'll be the first to admit it wasn't exactly perfect the first two weeks either. Wait a year, then we'll talk.

I dont hate diablo 3, I am having a lot of fun with it, and more fun that with PoE, but I am not blind fanboy to the problems that games has.

If you were paying attention, pre-order sales numbers to not equate to a game being GOOD.

The PREORDERS were undeniably immensely successful. It remains to be seen if the game is a long-term success or not. It probably will be, but not nearly to the same extent that D2 was. But indeed it is still too early to predict that with any level of certainty. This goes for you too, though, man. None of us can see the future, as much as we might like to.

Edit: And D2 wasn't anywhere near this bad when it came out. :)

It still surprises me a bit that people had to buy the game and play through the shit to finally realize that it was indeed shit. I mean, the signs were all there.

The state of Inferno difficulty means nobody will want to play hardcore since they're bound to die as soon as they get there, so everybody will stick to non hardcore games and use the RMAH.

Brilliant plan, Blizzard.

Quite a few of us who had followed the development of D3 figgered it out, and stated our decisions not to buy D3, well before release.

Naturally, we were trolled by the usual suspects for jumping to a conclusion before actually playing the game. To paraphrase a certain brain-dead Washington politician, they told us, "You have to play the game in order to see what's in it."

Nope. Just as we all knew from ONE piece of concept art that
Spoiler
Leah was Diablo,
we also knew from many hours of D3 Beta gameplay vids and discussion on fora like this one that D3 was shaping up into something we didn't like.

I will confess to indulging in a little Schadenfreude to have my early conclusions vindicated, but I am also sorry for those who actually wasted money and time on this pig, only to discover that D3 is essentially designed as a revenue engine for Blizzivision, centered on the AH.

Anyway, glad the OP made it here. Welcome (over)board! =^[.]^=

Yep, and many of those trolls insisted that EVERY one of us was going to buy and enjoy D3. Anyone who said they weren't going to buy it was simply lying. Hehe :)

I don't hate D3. I hate Blizz for trying to make it just another cash cow, but I actually rather enjoy it, as I have stated several times. However, I am not blind to the FACTS of the game like you are. If you do not understand how the loot layout in the game is setup to drive AH sales then I do not believe you are capable of rational thought.

With every post you seem more and more like a troll.
