Are Paid leagues still incoming?

GGG should also sell an offline mode of the game for $20-$40. If offline and online are separate I don't see what the problem is other than fear of profits.

when D3 on console rolled out, D3 players on reddit started crying that in any pub game everyone was using modded gear so already easy game turned into absolute faceroll

some even started "paragon 100 legit" streams

it was obvious there is no integrity in the game whatsoever

it is obvious that offline mode will be
a) bittorrented away
b) offline players will post their 1 second l33t boss kill videos without having a fucking clue about the game

b) is happening with poe when players with one <70lvl character post their gear that include 3 mirrored items and two taming rings.. if d3 had no integrity they at least had decency to legalize rmt. poe 'penalizes' rmt but does absolutely nothing to ban top players that use it and make hefty buck on it. so people dont care and buy their way into the top

rmt is separate problem, let's not mix it
with offline mode there will be order of magnitude more such players

it costs at least something to buy mirrored items, but it costs nothing to bittorrent game

if you do it the students way - yes

if you do it like seasoned developer should - that is offline is SEPARATE from ladders then you can hack only your local, offline character that affects nothing and noone

it is bit telling that you suspect that the 'student' development is in order..

and RMT is not a separate problem. it is about 'integrity' or rather lack of it. if top streamers are allowed use of multi-action macros and blatant jsp/rmt do you expect anyone to hesitate? ggg should start clearing their yard, starting from the top. lots of talk about fair and no-cheating yet no action and people are more than ever using dullar prices

D3 console ladder is separate from online ladder (except there is no ladder, he-he)
But then people want to play in groups and every group will be full of modders.

so make it simple: offline == singleplayer. problem solved

if they want to play in groups, classic online version is that way -->

this experiment ofc is impossible because mtx sell due to their vanity value and this requires 'audience' to see them. also no trading == no need for as many stash tabs, so again 'no'

this is purely theoretical concept. but offline mode CAN be created perfectly secure and not impacting other players. that d3 devs decided otherwise is their design mistake, not technical limitation

because the generation of kids are adults now and they got used to not paying
