To be fair everyone starts off with 1 skill and 3 wisdom scrolls. They just play like a job so of course they are rich. It's like working 2 casual half shifts a week vs full-time taking weekend overtime. Of course they make more money than you.

I think whats funny about these posts is you could just run your maps white this league and make money. You can run them white to speed spawn Sirius, AND generate a lot of Simulacrum shards/maps to either run or sell. Not to mention the delirium rewards since you should be absolutely crushing a white map.
God forbid you run them normally, with Sextants/Scarabs.
If you are broke this league, you just arent playing the game.

it is kind of silly. Entertaining yes, but silly.
Hard to believe this is not intentional by the Devs.
So on second thought maybe it's more than just burnout or being an old man scared of Coronavirus.
maybe I'm just not the type of player to see fun content or great loot in this game anymore, even if I did play.
maybe this game no longer has a place for players like me.
I'll never understand why POE players can't see the light. RMT keeps the doors open at GGG. Thay bought the guy that run's the most Succesful RMT sights years ago. Of course, they will keep nurfing "budget builds" to the ground. Why do you think just about every league there is an over the top item that's a mush have. It's all about the money. Players really think GGG makes enough money from MTX's ect to have a staff of over 200 people, Just lol. Chris likes fancy toys and MTXs are not whats letting him afford them.

That looks like some illuminati conspiracy theory without any proof, mmkay.
All i can remember is a reddit thread about some guy who owns some sites seliing some pixel in-game items (which is basically a legitimate business IRL) for money as well as some other businesses buying like 7.5% of GGG's shares which is also a legitimate business IRL.

Some "rich" guys in the game buy exalted doing RMT.
Simple. No one say this, but thats that's true... GGG after who almost sold himself to the Chinese they lost a lot of focus.
Many bots, few results. I know people taking Ban for no reason, or for a reason but without proof, and GGG's support is simply pitiful.
This is the result when you are overconfident, with a lot of money coming in. If it continues like this, I foresee a very bad future for the company.
I've played several online games, and I already know what the end of it all will be. Believe me, the hole is much lower.

I have been playing POE since 2013 with breaks here and there but solid for the past 6-7 leagues.
My response to the OP's post is to point out that it has never been easier to make $$ in POE and there has never been such amazing videos and online sites to figure out the meta. Quickly.
Your "realization" I think is flawed since I can do what you say only streamers can do which is rifle through 20 waves like it is nothing etc. And I pretty much am a very average player (but a good trader and researcher).
Anyway, you might not like this answer but the tools are there (POENinja, GGG official trade site, etc.) that we would have killed for in the past. Do the work, play smart and you will succeed.
Now, if you are burned out take a break. But IMO don't blame it on the game - buying/getting gear for an OP build has never been easier - frankly it has never been close to this easy. Perhaps you have a misunderstanding of how many hours the streamers put in.....they play a ton.
