Hall of Grandmasters legit suggestions (not complaints!)
" HLD pvp is different than LLD .HLD builds are way more specific hence players hiding their profile (like mine). Plenty of hlders hide their profile, even more those who do not abuse broken shit. After all, the option of being able to hide the profile was a feature specially done when GGG though they would support pvp or pve competitive secret builds. They wanted builds to be secret and be shared only if players wanted unlike D3. ----------------------->still running away from forum pvp. Btw the "pvb" character - HoGM farmer - isn't the old guy RF with the Balefire. he did it twice, yes - but the guy who ran most of my successful attempts, is the Trapper. so that's 2 misses out of 2 guesses, looking at a fully visible characters tab. looking at a level 28 character and saying " and then guessing the HoGM character wrong.

Trapper isn't a "dedicated HoGM farmer".
I have no "dedicated farmer". Trapper is just the main char for most content I can get my hands on. Like I said, I'm mostly a PvE player who enjoys some occasional PvP. right. doing some "forum PvP" and finding out from Head_Less you are actually a pretty good high level dueler, is nice. congratulations! Now imagine the OP or a similar player opening Hall Of Grandmasters as a random unique map - not knowing anything about PvP - and getting destroyed by some CI, max block, cast when damage taken "Spider Queen". not a fun experience, right? so why not make it fun? i don't see how removing it from the atlas helps. and i don't think hogm is good. i think it's crap. but i also understand why it's there. i don't think removing it is beneficial without an actual reason to. it's not like players need that extra 1% bonus. the bigger problem now (re: your last post) is that pvp's in a terrible state. what would be more fun than hogm is... actually playing against (or with and against, ala 2v2, 3v3) the actual people playing the chars. but that ship has sailed. unfortunately. 1000 hours team/power creep stuck a fork gem in it. Why not have some "PvP tutorial", fighting vs bots, where you earn fragments for successful completion - and the combination of fragments opens up Hall Of Grandmasters?
Or as Head_Less and Qiu_Qiu suggested, have it as a reward after winning some actual PvP matches, and provide a title/achievement and PvP-specific bonuses when you complete it. It doesn't have to be a map. since I agree with you it's crap, keeping it as a map is the worst option in my opinion. when it's a map, players who have no idea about PvP will attempt it - and it will ruin their day. i mean... unless ggg wants to actually try to balance/fix pvp, it would be a pointless endeavor.
this would be a pre-req to making hogm pvp-related, i believe. (and i'd love it if pvp was fixed/halfway balanced... but as long as the power creep gets more and more ridiculous every league, it's not going to happen/matter, since the power creep would just ruin it [again] ) [Removed by Support]
