The cap on expiry is 75%, so you need a combined 75% between solstice vigil and your temp chains/curse effectiveness

The math works out like this:


30%(Helmet) + 15%(COH/Tree) -40%(Reduction taken from curse on players)=+5 TC curse effectiveness

40% slower expiry * 1.050 (5 curse effect total) = 42% slower expiry

+33% from Shaper's Presence from Solstice Vigil

=75% slower expiry of Effects

Meaning you reuse your flask every ~1.4 minutes

So, I guess it's safe to say it's not really a league starter? Judging by the price it won't really be used as one anyway, but it seems fair to ask.

No, this is definitely not a league starter. There are ways to make this build work early on in the league but you're better off starting as a more reliable cheap leaguestarter then saving up to buy the pieces for this build.

As for nerfs in 3.7, if they remove the interaction between cast speed and winter orb, this build is dead. Otherwise it will still be very strong. I'll test after the new league begins if it works or not and will update the thread accordingly.

Yep! This build is still awesome in 3.7, I'll update the passive tree when path of building is updated. It loses permanent phys damage from immortal call so that might get replaced with steelskin or another guard skill.

Nice work! :p Just did the build in standard work like a charm! Only wondering how you reach 1800 mana in the 3.7 tree, without the mana after mom, do you take Battle rouse instead? Currently mr is -49.3 you need -78.

Also im trying a melee version, because legion you know, and using moltenstrike/earthquake (still testing). But it seems harder and need more sacrifices than the caster version, plus increase duration works better with channelling. Plus eldritch battery is far and soultaker seems safer. Omeyocan need Healty Mind? Maybe one of the new melee skill could offer better synergy. Do you have any plans to make a melee version as well?

I updated the path of building for Musclemancer 2, instead of the MOM nodes the build now takes the Deep Thoughts node which should be sufficient.

As far as making a melee variation, your best bet is probably to do soultaker. I think you could make a lot of the newer melee skills work with a soultaker setup.

I don't have any plans to make a melee version of this build at the time, but if you look up soulthirst consecrated path/molten strike I'm sure you can find some good starting places for making a melee variant.
will the duration still be good?
its now 1.2 sec base duration, so wont scale for long.. will need to recast worb every ~20 sec (kind of annoying)?
