These are very nice and ellaborate replies with a very valid point. I totally agree with you, players that play leagues are the best among all. Therefore, they must not see their characters ending in this bad, dump Std league. I am pretty sure you would love if temporal leagues would be set to void leagues. This would prevent your chars to ever touch standard, and people that play standard would love to not receive all broken items that GGG have to put so often in temporal leagues, because it seems that is the only way to make people play them.

Then, we all will be happy. You would love playing in a super fresh void league having sometimes broken items while Std players would not receive your impolute chars and gear.

The funny thing, is that I am quite confident same people that hate Std will not play temporal leagues if they are void. That is hypocrisy.

You're thinking about this the wrong way, man. To try to build a bridge—think StarCraft or C&C or even server wipes in Rust every few weeks: You build a base, strategize, etc., then win/lose, and start a whole new game. Leagues are something like that. There's a league for a few months, you invest in it, strategize, build up a character, etc. Then, when all the shit's done and finished—a new league comes around and people start anew.

There are a lot of examples of wipe-every-now-and-again, whether it be in 45m or in 3 months. Playing these types of games doesn't mean a person doesn't "value their time."

I dont think myself better for not playing standard. But the facts are that this game has allways beign about leagues and making new builds. Its how this game was made. and standard is only the dumping ground for your old shit.
Its a very small percentage that plays only standard anyway so ofc they put all effort on leagues and core game improvements.
So its tupid to whine about GGG not giving standard love. You wanna play standard? Fine play it. Just dont come whining every fucking league.

All they need to do to fix standard is implement perma legacy.

Not like the economy can get any worse, but at least make it less dreadful of an experience to actually play there.

Really, this game is designed with leagues in mind, all the expansions and content are launched through them (league and expansion launches on the same day), they balance the game both standard and leagues, so some builds are dead atm but, as you can see, everything is suppose to change, as always.

I don't get the surprise at all, people looks for a stability that never existed and isn't the intention nor strategy of GGG. Not even the target aundience wants it, that is it.

It is the best expansion in a game of this year probably...

So nice post as well, somehow lots of temporal league players like to post forum threads with the word hate + Standard. In brief, there has been quite a lot of forum threads about the implementation of this expansion to Std players, and it could be that we have solid reasons to say so. Do you think it is normal that Std players had all main quests completed but not side quests? so they were forced to get lot of spoilers to retrieve those skill points for doing maps. Or not giving the option to do also the main quets (what is the point of doing only side quests), before having access to maps.

We are asking for very logic things. And you know, I could use the same argument of yours the other way around. You wanna play temporal leagues? Fine play it. Just do not ask to merge them to Standard at the end.
