Yeah 25k is a nonsense for 99% of the builds.

I don't mind closing the gap, the hybrid for life are good, but I think the nerf went a bit overboard especially the leech part.

If can put like 15 more points into ES including the nodes necessary to reach the big ES wheel. Not even sure i'd have enough to face shaper with that (8.5k mandatory i'd say if you don't want to get one shot, today I have 9.5k with 60ex of gear on my pathfinder, can probably get 11k with a 10ex shield and good ring with elreon mods).

So basically the only viable tree for endgame becomes all into defense + pathing and you get 20ish points to play with offensive options. Doesn't sound like tons of diversity to me.

Had the same issue with life builds. The only good metrics of viability was how many points you put into life nodes. Life or AS, go life, life or physical, go life, life or melee range go life, life or aoe go life... And then maybe you can reach good enough life pool to face all content, but hey why not fuck up a 6l to be even more viable, sounds so fun to play with half a skill per character.

If it becomes the same for ES I don't think it's gonna be fun.

On a sidenote, I did not take any jewel sockets. This is only passives and Ascendancy + gear doing their magic.

EDIT: It gets even better. I just added a jewel for 1 chaos and 2x Energy from Within for 49c each.

That's 99 Chaos extra. And I'm now almost 25k ES.



Which means that I just spent 5 ex on gear and have 24.4k ES. Hilarious.

Except energy from within is 1.5 ex. I don't really trust your numbers, sry.

you can get 25k Es for a couple of chaos

1500str+ Brutus + shaper gloves+ sanctuary of thought + decent gear with Es/50str/mana

Voila 25000 Es

that guy mentions he only has 19k dps so he made some pretty massive sacrfices to get that life 19k dps is kinda shit with the current meta
