Currently as of posting, there are more than 50K links to the story. That wasn't the case at all when Ray posted it. It was still breaking news at the time.

What's more interesting is which "news" sources aren't carrying the story yet. Some will, if the news gets enough attention, but they will hide it in a corner and try to delay reporting it until most of the furor has passed.

It takes a fair amount of vetting news and using some historical pattern recognition to ferret out what is mostly accurate from what is cotton candy wrapped around a razor blade. It's possible, but the amount of time and effort generally preclude it for most people. The fact checkers and media bias sites themselves are often called into question, and for good reason.

No easy solutions to this dilemma.

Sure they are scumbags lots of people are but global policeman only opens gates of hell. Iran war will make Iraq war look like a Sunday school picnic and thats if Russia doesnt get involved then shit gets real.

Messing with Iran will be probably inevitable at some point, if we like it or not.

1.) The west and KSA are butt-buddies. KSA is a massive shopper, esp. of US military hardware. Iran & KSA are ideological enemies, currently tied in a proxy ideological war.

2.) Israel will not stand by, while Iran is developing more and more ballistic missiles and at some point will probably go for nuclear weapons. Obama gave the ayatollahs a lot of money, they thanked him by parading their ballistic missile launchers in some underground base, just a few weeks after the deal was signed. The theocratic Iranian regime is emboldened and currently active in a regional dominance war.

The US and to some extent EU will try to "save" KSA (& Qatar, Bahrain) from Iran. As I've said The Gucci Gulf Arabs are one of the biggest shoppers in the west. You don't see the Iranian cheapskate ayatollahs buying 70 Ferrari's in one go. :)

Personally, Id rather see Riyadh and wahhabism burn to the ground.
