I only have 5L atm, should I use Trap and Mine Damage or Increased Critical Strikes.

Also, why do we have Vaal Clarity when we have Blood Magic?

If you didnt spec into crit yet (if you are not at least lvl 85 yet) go for controlled destruction as fifth link, if you went full crit , go critical strikes gem. Trap and mine damage would be 6th link.

Clarity also lets you cast for free when you run fnm on life, that way you have the full life regen as a defensive stat while vaal clarity is up.

So if we are running this on hardcore and following the Path of Building HC endgame 2 tree we won't use immortal call because we won't generate endurance charges?

You dont need endurance charges for immortal call to be procced, EC's only makes IC last longer, but there is a base duration even without any charges that keeps you safe from chain damage like several rhoas charging into you for example.

There is no version of my build in which you generate Endurance Charges.

What do you think of taking the new and improved born in the shadows node, instead of explosive experts? Seems like a lot of survivability especial for HC.

Cannot be Blinded
10% reduced Damage taken from Blinded Enemies
Nearby Enemies are Blinded
30% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments against Blinded Enemies
25% chance to Blind Enemies on Hit

4% increased Movement Speed
10% increased Elemental Damage

VS.

20% increased Area of Effect
20% increased Area Damage
Damage Penetrates 10% Elemental Resistances
10% reduced Damage taken from Traps and Mines

+6% to all Elemental Resistances
10% increased Elemental Damage

Hi,

yes thought about this myself, so when you play HC you might consider taking that node but I personally still highly prefer 'Explosive Experts' since it has that mini 'fire pen'gem with 10% penetration which is a lot of damage since it is more damage and therefore multiplicative. The 30% inc damage vs blinded enemies is only additive so overal 'Explosive Experts' will give you way more damage than 'Born in the Shadows' .... too good of a node to sacrifice in my opinion.

But in the end it's really up to personal preference and both choices are viable.

Is this build good in groups? I'm planning on starting next league using it.
