No incentive levelling past 90 in standard
"In other words, you play without incentives? Lol. " No, it's a matter of using the word incentive correctly, and you're still doing it wrong. |

^ completely agreed standart needs more love and all this temp-3month insert verbally abusive words here fanboyism needs to die out.
standart has been unpatched for over a year now or more. it´s always going to be the main league and everything flowls into it , hating and dissing on it makes everyone new or old look like a fool. "ok imma play some templeague now , oh maybe i can play this on standart when its over o wait there is no reason to play standart cause every templeague has more candies" and this is coming to a point nowadays where GGG is burying themselves with the overt focus on templeague madness and neglection of the main core of the game , which always was and always will be standart. wether one person likes it or not. |

" No. I don't 'try hard' to be or sound intelligent--if you perceive me that way, then that is your own 'perspective'. My opinion doesn't matter more than any other--all I'm trying to do is clear up the use of the word incentive. If you have an inferiority complex or are intimidated by polysyllabic words then just say it--don't cast your anxiety on me as if I'm the problem here. edit: And just to be completely fair, I have to admit that having reached 40 challenges in prophecy, I too no longer have actual incentive to play (and my play time has dropped off considerably since that moment). I now self-impose reasons to play, i.e. making a new build, crafting, etc. But the actual incentive to play is gone (which again, accounts for why my playtime has reduced dramatically in the last few weeks and consequently my forum time has increased). " The thing is no one used the word wrong to begin with. You were trying to passively aggressively undermine the guy for using the term properly with that long winded wall of pointless text. I was just clarifying what a snobby prick you came off as while trying to correct something that didn't need correction. IGN:Flickfrap Last edited by LoPan#2848 on Jul 12, 2016, 8:42:22 PM

" Are you kidding? The title of the thread is "NO INCENTIVE LEVELLING PAST 90 IN STANDARD" (never mind leveling is spelled wrong). All I said, and quite clearly (after my initial response that obviously sparked controversy) is that by his logic, and by using the word incentive correctly, there is no incentive to play standard at all. So, instead of being willfully ignorant, just accept that you're wrong. Last edited by SpanishMonarch#1574 on Jul 12, 2016, 8:46:59 PM

" Lol, more irony. I guess I'll just have to agree to disagree considering your "willful ignorance." IGN:Flickfrap

" So now it seems you don't know what the word irony means either..? /facepalm |

" Lol. Maybe you'd be so kind as to post another wall of text with the proper definition to help me understand? Just to clarify since you seem to be having a hard time atm. The irony being you telling someone they are wrong.... While being all kinds of wrong. /facepalm IGN:Flickfrap Last edited by LoPan#2848 on Jul 12, 2016, 9:02:49 PM

How can people say that the few extra passive points don't make a difference? I mean if you got all health passives, you may end up with quite a bit more health.... How is that not big? Am I missing something here? This is just one example......

Quite the thread of anger and vitriol.
After 90 it's almost entirely about risk, not enough about reward. Reward is the incentive, and GGG has removed it. Yes, some dogs will cross scalding hot summer pavement for as little as a cheerio but by and large most won't. The CP penalty, considering how much they've gimped XP, is far too steep and should honestly just be removed. It makes sense in Cruel, perhaps, when you loose maybe a few minutes or hour of play to recoup... but when you're talking multiple hours if not multiple days? Yeah, serious risk!=reward failure. That is the incentive I don't see - there's no reason, other than that mirage someone spoke of earlier. Something put out on the horizon because some dogs will chase anything. Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. |
