Stop. Just stop. I do agree with you, but you are preaching to a wall. People suck. They view their anonym nick name and the 24" gaming LED screen as an excuse to act their true self. They do not care.

As I see it, how people act on the internet, without the real life norms and judgement from dear ones, is closer to their "true self". If you act like a dick when/because you will not get punished and get away with it - you are in fact - a dick. You are how you act - no matter if it's real life or on the internet.

But hey, here i go again. Telling you to stop, and goes on like an idiot myself. Merry Christmas.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

i kill humnanoids in games but in real life i'm an absolute pacifist.

what does that make me in your eyes? an inconsistent dick?

i'm german, sorry. we have quite some experience with "solutions" which totally break things instead of fixing the underlying problem.

R u paid by ggg or have u some or expecting some special treatment or gaining some prestige or have u something that average player dont have?

ggg and me have one common goal, a working game for as much people as possible.

if your reputation system is excluding more innocent people from profiting from rotations than it repells abusers it's damaging to the game.

hunting anonymous accounts or attach reputation to account names is non-sensical in my eyes because accounts with level 80 chars are remade in 2 days min.

basing your trust on how long an account exists without any incident is hopelessly naive given the fact that accounts get sold on ebay for some 100$.

i just want abuse limiting tech implemented that works!

and it has to come from ggg so i have an instance to complain about which i trust in case something is not working.

What's crazier are the "after map" ones. After 10-15 mins rofl they invite you and they are the only ones in the party and you see a map active in the device. It's usually at this moment that I ask myself "what in the actual fuck?" you couldn't drop one portal for a sale? Bruh.

The problem is GGG is trying to create an economy-centered game WITHOUT any ratings, reputation, or buyer/seller feedback.

Could you imagine how fucked up ebay would be without buyer/seller feedback? It would be a dysfunctional cesspool, kind of like trading in PoE is now.

please do not compare real life with poe. never!

it just never applies because this is a game where scamming has no real life consequences in difference to scamming people on ebay.

for a game your suggested reputation system just makes matters worse, because:

1.) it allows malicious players to build up trust before they strike hard and continue the same with their next account.

2.) it allows people to blackmail each other (pay 10 chaos or i get you on the no-trade list with the help of my "friends").

3.) it makes it difficult for new players to start trading because people will prefer accounts with a long and clean trading history.

with reputation systems, the overall damage to the game will be much higher and ggg would be forced to invest precious support time to hunt these accounts down to no avail.
my reasons are selfish, i rather want them to invest into more dev power to improve the game faster than waste money on mods who investigate kids withchunting each other.

These concerns are total nonsense. Buyer/seller feedback, ratings/reviews, etc. works. We know it works, we see it everywhere in modern economies. All of your issues have proven to be non-issues on ebay, amazon, etc. It can work in virtual economies just as well as it does in real economies. In fact it's easier in a virtual economy because there are fewer variables.

The only way to mess it up is to have a really bad/stupid implementation with zero control, which is what it seems you think GGG will do, because there are very simple control systems that prevent 1, 2, or 3 from being problems (ebay has them).

For a game like PoE with mirror service, uber service, boss service, lab service, master service, cross-league trades, various challenge services, some buyer/seller accountability would solve a lot of problems. GGG wastes resources investigating and moderating name & shames, scam reports, etc. And doing it that way really is to no avail, since always, endlessly, we see scam reports and name/shame moderation eating up precious support time, every day. GGG can be more effective and efficient by copying some of the proven systems we see in real marketplaces.

For regular trades, it's not as important. If GGG implemented asynchronous trade, most of the trade headaches would go away. You'd see a price, hit buy, and your currency heads to them in a remove only tab and their item heads to you in a remove only tab. No more fake listings to manipulate prices, no more failed trades because sellers don't want to swap leagues or are busy in lab / map rotation, no more trade window scams, no more buyers changing your listed buyout price in their msg to you, etc. All goes away.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

I hate that people act like that. I always log over from prophecy, b//c as you said, someone took the time to search. Why list it if you're not going to sell it. It's kinda good for me people do this though, I'm left with all the moneys b/c I will log over. I do think this could all be solved and people would be MUCH more willing to trade and take a minute if they didn't have to jump leagues, hence trade improvements pliz GGG!

Everything I leave in my shop is priced 4c and above,I figure anything less really isn't worth the time/hassel. So at least every time I have a std. pm, I know it's 4c+ and worth the small effort.

There is some annoyance about it that doesn't come from the players at all though. If you're doing something like lab, and can't leave/logout soon, getting 2-3 people messaging you can get hectic. Since you can only copy one persons name at a time. I just copy them into a url or notepad though to keep track.

TL:DR I think some of it can be fixed with trade improvements. People being "elitest" or "too cool for school" cannot be fixed though.
