Does it even matter? Customer protections don't give you immunity do break establishment rules. Has anybody won a lawsuit against a casino that banned them? A paying casino customer that gets caught cheating doesn't get their money back. They don't have legal protection from getting banned from that casino even if they were paying customers.

Cheating in a casino is nowhere near the same as purchasing items in GGG on a 3rd party site with your own money

In a Casino when you cheat you are scamming the casino out of their money because in a casino you are getting real money. In POE its simply a matter of the very same ingame cosmetics that you happen to be using real money on in a 3rd party website.

This is nothing remotely close to going into a casino and rigging a machine or hiding extra cards in your sleeve.

Chris said new players aren't wanted here and go elsewhere. So it stands to reason the hardcore nerd he banned was the one supporting his dream of a hardcore niche game for nerds which is counter productive.

Unless Chris actually just realized that there is millions of dollars to be made if POE started shifting in the D3 direction. I believe Chris cares more about hardcore nerds than he cares about wider audience and new players.

I don't think Chris has changed I still believe he only cares about nerds.

Chris loves to appeal to the hardcore nerds this is how he built POE on their trust, that they will forever live in a small niche game that is a clone of D2 with modern day graphics.

But I suspect thats all about to change as POE is shifting towards the D3 direction which is a good thing. If Chris ever becomes smart he will realize there is millions even billions to be made if he is willing to understand business better.

Did you know DayZ is superior to nearly every FPS out there except for one small problem? is stinks in solo mode and COD is superior simply because its designed for solo. Noway you would think a console port recycled yearly COD is better than DayZ right?

It all depends on how you intend on playing said game for example POE is a nasty disgusting experience because it forces single player. Unlike D3 that forces Multi Player my idea of a perfect game is Diablo 3 but with all the build mechanics of POE.

Basically D3 and POE had a child. Currently D3 has the superior Engine and Graphics and Online the only thing POE has going for it is the builds and skill tree which would explain why Blizzard scrapped the final expansion and is hiring new staff to work on D4.

What? the Online in POE is a carbon copy of a failed 2001 online. the Engine is a failure in POE, the grpahics fails the animation fails. This is one of the worst arpg engines in the world with one of the worst performances.

So, one point most people seem to miss regarding micros and terms of service / terms of use - the microtransactions and the in game items are provided to be used as intended for gameplay. GGG does not, in any way, lose any right to prosecute or ban when someone misuses those items because they do not transfer ownership of the assets to you.

If you try to sell someone's stuff after you convince that person to let you borrow it, that's illegal. And yes, it does constitute profiteering among other things. Point here - GGG could do more about it than those who are involved in profiteering want to admit. They feel invincible until they get caught.

When they get caught, it's always the same story.
